Ideal for trim, touch-up and small surface projects such as window sash, small furniture, shutters, screens and moldings. Each XL brush style has it's own unique hand-chiseled formulation for maximum paint lift and smooth no-drag application. Tynex nylon and Orel polyester filaments are used with a special process to bring the filaments as close to naturally flagged bristle as possible. The stiffness retention of XL brushes makes them especially suited for outside painting under hot and humid climate conditions.

It holds a lot of paint without dripping.

I like this brush because it works with oil paint and acrylic also. I prime with oil and paint with acrylic.

3" Purdy

The 3" Purdy (Nylon-Polyester Blend) applies paint smoothly and evenly. I've never had any problems with the brushes, No rust or shedding. As I mentioned in other reviews the bare wood handles I stain and put 5 coats of clear on them. If you clean your brushes and comb them properly they will last many years. I also store them in the cardboard wrapper. Great Brush. I have one of each size offered. The 3" is by far the most used size we own..One of them is well past 13 years of age..
