Addicted to 5.11 professional polo for one reason
I love the 5.11 professional polo for one very simple reason. The “no roll” looks like new all the time. I have owned every big brand polo shirt in my life (and worked for one), the collars get stiff where it bends and then losses their color. Except for 5.11. The fabric is also great and the product fits true to size. My only complaint is that they do not offer many summer colors. White is nice, but a light blue, pink etc etc would be great. My wallet is ready when 5.11 offers more colors.

Great shirt—gets lots of compliments.
Five stars, with some caviats. This shirt isn’t what I was expecting. I thought this was the lighter weight fabric—which is shown in the first photo. I specifically wanted that version as it’s nicer looking in my opinion. But apparently this is is the same model number. And after looking closer—all the other photos, but that first one, are actually the shirt I received. I would have returned it it if I had more time and didn’t need it right away. However I’m guessing this must be the newer version of my older shirts I’ve bought in the past and the photo thing was hopefully an honest slip up of the seller. As they are pretty darn similar in a tiny photo. However this fabric is less clean/neat/dressy looking. It doesn’t drape as nicely. It’s more just normal polo looking. Kinda on the thicker side. Not necessarily frumpy per se—it’s just average polo looking. But, since it is a work polo I suppose that’s reasonable for it to look like a polo. And presumeably it’ll be more durable. Its just not what I wanted. Frankly, I’m actually not a big 5.11 fan. As I think a lot of there stuff is pricy but cheaply made, and targeted to wanna be tough guys, but that’s just my opinion. However, I like these specific shirts a lot. And this version is also great. I love the shoulder pen pocket on these shirts. I get lots of compliments on it and questions about the brand and where I got it. I’ve bought these type of 5.11 shirts before and I’d buy this again. But I’ve got my eye out for the lighter weight ones if I can find ‘em.

EDIT: Not even close to what they used to be
Original review is as written below. Very dissapointed in the recent vintage of this shirt and I won't be buying any more. The ones I bought in or around 2010 all lasted a while. In fact, I'm still wearing one fairly regularly. The rest have since degraded but only after years of almost weekly wear. THOSE shirts were well worth what I paid for them. In or around the middle of 2016, I bought another one. The size was a little off but it still fit OK. That shirt lasted about a year before developing some evidence of wear; and about a year and a half before being wearable only under casual or leisure conditions. Now, it is virtually unwearable -- and it got less regular wear than the 2010 versions. Another shirt I bought in 2017 never was wearable -- the size was too small (same size as the 2016 shirt) and the side tag was very uncomfortable, even after trimming and then cutting. My original 4 star review is now 2. And even that is generous. ======= By regular wear, I mean about once a week to ten days for each shirt. Any more than that and it will break down sooner. I've had a number of these shirts for several years. Although I wash them all on delicate and have since I've owned them (in a front loading washer, btw), I don't think they'll shrink even if you wash them on the regular cycle. Whatever the fabric is treated with does not seem to wear, even after 4+ years. That's pretty good considering I've bought polo shirts for 30+ years and haven't gotten that kind of wear out of any of them. Perfect? Well, no, not really. First, they run a little large. That isn't a huge deal unless you're one of those people that like it with just a little more room and you fall between sizes. You'll just have to go big or smaller. Second, there are some minor quality control issues. It is hard to explain but with 2 shirts (out of about 8 so far) I had some irritation in the inside back collar. I never could feel the source of the irritation with my fingers but I always felt it on the back of the neck and it made the shirt unwearable. I should have returned the shirts to either the retailer or 5.11 but I just put them at the bottom of the closet. Just be aware that 10-15% of the shirts COULD have an issue. Finally the dark shirts pick up link like crazy. Although I buy these shirts now and won't ever buy RL Polo shirts again (shrink too much), the RLPs I've had didn't pick up link quite as bad. All in all, these are probably a 3.5 with a bump for longevity.

Very heavy material. Need to find a lighter one.
Product fits as described, just a very heavy polo material. Def. Need a lighter weight more breathable one for these Florida days

Awesome Polo Shirt
These 5.11 polos live up to their name. They're tough, yet comfortable and the colors fade very little even after several washings. I like the no roll feature of the collar too.

My Go-To Polo
I love this shirt. I wear the black one pretty much every day with either slacks or jeans. It dresses up whatever pants you wear it with. It’s very sturdy, and hangs well on big guys. It’s not a soft weave, it’s a thicker, yet not too heavy to wear in the summer. I’ve tried the lighter colors, and I’m not as happy with them although they feel around the same - the lighter colors just don’t give me the confidence the black does, and the lighter colors aren’t as dressy in my opinion. If you’re in shape as far as a flat belly goes, the white one is very nice too. It just didn’t hang on me like the black. I bought SIX of these in black over a two year period because I love them!

Professional and semi-tactical at the same time
The media could not be loaded. If you're looking for a bit of an upgrade and like professional polos that are tactical, this is the shirt for you. Imagine working in your professional environment, and just whipping a pen out of your sleeve. If that makes you feel cool like me, this is the shirt for you. In my video, I highlight the Law Enforcement green. This shirt is made in Thailand for those concerned about where the shirt is manufactured, although 511tactical is based out of California. I'm sure one of their 5.11 ATAC PLx Tactical Pen Lights would really look tactical in a sleeve pocket, but that is only for the super tactical guys that I aspire to become one day. Anyway, let me know if this video was informative in any way.

Perfect polo
Fantastic polo shirts. I’ve been wearing these polo shirts for work on a daily basis for years. They are incredibly durable and don’t show any signs of wear. The fit is comfortable, not too tight or loose, and there’s enough give in the shoulders and armpits where your arms don’t feel like they’re being constrained. The pen pockets are usful and placed in a great spot (wish there were ones on the right side as I’m left handed). There are 3 spots for radio mic, tho I don’t need them in my job. My favourite shirt to wear by far. It’s breathable and light weight. Highly recommended.

Good polo shirt
Good polo shirt, a bit large for its tag size. Fabric is of good quality. Seam finish and trim could be better, there are some loose threads around them.

Simply the best.
I've been wearing these for years, needing something smart and professional for work. They are the best. The super quality cotton survives repeated washes and the stiffened collar ends don't curl. Very comfortable in warm weather and warm enough, under a jacket, on cooler days.
