The million-cycle no-fail switches are an Accusplit exclusive and are ergonomically designed for maximum performance and ease of use. They snap instead of beep and have been tested for over a million cycles without failure. The right button is used for start and stop, the left for split and release. The A601X stopwatch features cumulative-split timing. The cumulative time is the capture of elapsed time to current event and consists of all splits beginning to end. The split time is the interval of time measured from the start of the timing to the next pause of time. The A601X also features the one-button start-split-split system where the first split is first place, the second split is second place, and it shows a one-two fast finish. This stopwatch is available in five solid and translucent ring colors, has a 5-year battery life, and has a magnum extra-large digital display for exceptionally easy reading. The A601X is water resistant (up to 30-meters), shock resistant, and includes time and date functions, making it a great low-cost stopwatch for basic timing needs.

I liked it in spite of some issues...
Their website claims they are one of the original digital stopwatches, and reportedly was the official stopwatch for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. Some reviewers complained it was hard to figure out how to set the date, time and calendar, which was true for me, even WITH the instructions, which are NOT included. The description of this stopwatch on the ACCUSPLIT website states the instructions ARE included, BUT the listing here on Amazon has a disclaimer emphasizing the instructions are NOT included. Fortunately, the Amazon listing has link for a PDF file of the instructions, which is dated 2020. I discovered the ACCUSPLIT website also has a copy of instructions for this stopwatch, dated 2015, that were slightly different from the instructions available in this listing. It was not possible to include the PDF files of the two variant instructions in this review, so I uploaded screenshots of the two variant instruction; I hope the print is still legible. With some help from the confusing instructions, and lots of Trial and Error, I was finally able to get the correct TIME, and numbers corresponding to the Month and Day programed into this device, so when not being used as a stopwatch, it will display TIME like a watch. And for some reason, you are also able to store an unchanging TIME in memory. You can set it to display the watch time as AM / PM or 24 hr time. The instructions tell you to go to the ACCUSPLIT website for an explanation on how to change the battery, implying if you aren’t careful, it might compromise the claimed ‘waterproof’ feature. Searching their website provided NO DESCRIPTION on how to change the battery. The ’new’ stopwatch I received, was DEAD ON ARRIVAL! (Accusplit claims this stopwatch is supposed to have a 5 year battery!) As a last resort, before having to go through the hassle and wasted time of returning it back to Amazon, and waiting for a replacement, I got a replacement battery. Upon examining the back of the stopwatch, observed 6 very tiny screws. One reviewer complained that she had stripped out the screws trying to change the batteries, so I took the stopwatch to a hardware store, to insure I bought the correct special small ‘jewelers’ type screwdriver. The screws were quite tight (probably for the ‘watertight’ claim) but with care, overcoming the initial tightness, fortunately was able to get all 6 screws unfastened. NOTE: perform this procedure in a carefully controlled environment, like on a white towel, (my screws were black) to ensure the tiny screws don’t roll away or get lost! Fortunately, after putting in a new battery, the stopwatch started working again! BUT, after carefully replacing the screws (not forcing them, because sometimes the screws felt like they were initially cross threaded!) After replacing the screws, I intentionally did NOT ‘over tighten’ them, to avoid stripping them out. The claimed ‘watertightness’ is now probably compromised, but I don’t plan on dropping it in water! A sticker on the back of this watch, in very tiny print, stated the warranty was good until October 2021. After that, if you pay $12, they will fix it until October 2025. Since the Battery was Dead On Arrival, I wonder if this stopwatch spent several years sitting on a shelf in some warehouse? In spite of it all, I still like this stopwatch, since I’m not going to use it for athletic events. I’m going to use it while watching specific television shows on different streaming television channels, to time the length of commercials they pad into the TV shows, to determine if any particular streaming channel, is adding in more commercials, compared to a different streaming TV channel!

Read the features carefully before buying - no lap memory.
As even my 10 year old Casio watch has a lap memory, I thought a dedicated stopwatch would have that as well. My fault for not reading the description carefully. This will capture splits, but only show them in the moment (no memory), and when you hit split again, you only see the current cumulative timing. May as well use your phone. For just a stopwatch w/ easy to use buttons and a decent-sized display, it works, though.

Accusplit Stopwatch ceases to record hundreds of a second after 40 minutes
I bought this stopwatch for timing my son, who recently started running. The stopwatch is great for use on a track . . . for timing speed workouts, etc. The buttons are big and easy to use, and likewise the display is nice and big to see. But there is one big PROBLEM with the stopwatch, that Accusplit needs to FIX. My son also does distance training runs. And even though the stopwatch clearly advertises on the face of it 1/100 seconds, what happens is that this function ceases to work at 40 minutes. It's not that I need the hundreds of a second on long runs, but the actual display becomes quite annoying. One moment the stopwatch is counting quickly, counting minutes, seconds, and hundreds. Then suddenly, it is only timing minutes and seconds. The reason this is annoying? The first several times this happened, the 'perception' is that the stopwatch had STOPPED, and I thought I had bumped it or accidentally hit a button. It took watching it during several distance runs, when I just happened to be looking at it just past 39 minutes to realize what was happening. I could understand if the hundreds disappeared at 1 hour, due to the lack of digits. But the amount of digits at 39:59:99 are exactly the same as what it SHOULD be at 40:00.00. But instead it is now only showing 40:00. Accusplit should immediately fix this problem. I actually called Accusplit about this, thinking I had a malfunctioning stopwatch. But after several calls, they got back to me and simply said "This is the way it was designed." My question is: "WHY?". If they would simply fix this, I would have rated the stopwatch with 5 Stars. But this weird anomaly causes me to only give it 3 Stars. I simply want others purchasing this stopwatch to be aware of this oddity on it. If you ONLY plan to use it for short distances on a track, it would be a great watch. But for distance running workouts, not so great.

Tic Toc clock.
Use this device for a stop watch and count down function. Also easy to use as a clock when at sports events when you don't want a sweaty wrist band on your arm. Simple, easy to master functions with out super bulk size.

I am a fitness trainer at a busy gym. Timing sets and workouts is part of my daily job. I bought this to replace the one the gym offers which has seen better days. My first impression was that this is larger than I was expecting, but that has worked to my advantage as it's quick to grab and click. I love the sturdy, responsive click of the buttons. The old timer the gym offers has soft, unresponsive buttons that had to be clicked sometimes multiple times to start. This is perfectly responsive. I also love (LOVE) that it doesn't beep. Since I wear this all day, the old one I had would randomly beep if bumped or just for no apparent reason. This timer does not. It's an all around simple, straight forward, and perfect stopwatch for my needs. My only "thing" is that I wish I hadn't ordered yellow. I thought it would look sporty and go with the gym colors. However it is more of an orangey-yellow. I will be reordering a black, and keep the yellow as a back up. Just my own quirk though. :)

Tough and easy to use
This has been a great purchase. It is really easy to use and the size of it means you can read the timings, even with dodgy eyes!

Great silent stopwatch!
Exactly what I needed. Large numbers, easy to use, and silent! I will note that it is not backlit - though it looked to be, to me, in the product photo. Many thanks to the seller!

Stoppuhr
