It comes with a sharpener
These blades are AMAZING! I was able to Scrape a small table with rounded legs in about 30 minutes. It comes with blades for every shape you can imagine. I have tried other blades and this is absolutely the best scraper I have ever ever ever used! And the best part, is, I can sharpen my tools, and it works like it’s new again..

Great scraping tools, super perfect
All I can say is that this tool saved me tons of time on my projects. I never found anything that couldn't be scraped, so if you need to scrape very much you'll want this. Even my wife loves it.

Not sharp out of the box - not a problem.
These have a rough finish out of the box, but getting a knife edge is 1.) not super necessary unless you really are going for that hand-scraped finish and 2.) adds a TON to the cost. But this tool comes with a magnetically held fine cut file in the handle. It's roughly finished too, but it works perfectly. The steel on the irons is good, but not great. It does need regular touching up, more than a carbide scraper (obviously) but this is 1.) far more reusable, and 2.) can be finely set to whatever you want to do. I can use the file to put a nice hooked burr on the edge for heavy paint/finish removal (I have been using it to strip heavy, dense paint from an ikea chair) and then put it to a stone and strop for a fine edge that doesn't last very long, but will leave a lovely hand-scraped fine cut finish. It's honestly a lot like a cabinet scraper but easier to use and a little more versatile. I have precisely three gripes, all minor. 1.) there's no "flat" edge. One is close, but it's still ground like a scrub plane blade. This isn't hard to fix, within a few sharpenings on the file, you can square up that edge and just leave the corners rounded so it doesn't create stripes like the carbide scraper does. 2.) The included file works to undo the screw holding the blade in, but only just. It doesn't feel very nice to use, though works fine. They should grind the tail of the file into a screwdriver flat (it's what I did) 3.) the screw holding the blade is JUST too big to slip the blade over. This would have made quick-changing blades far, far easier, but it's just a HAIR too big. I might file it down eventually, but if they made it about 1/16th of an inch narrower in diameter, it wouldn't have affected performance negatively, and would let you change blades only by loosening the screw, rather than removing it. Again, all of these are minor. This thing is a godsend tool. I like having both a carbide scraper with disposable blades and this, but push to shove, I reach for this one five times as often for the finer detail furniture work I do. This set to a heavy cut and a card scraper set to a fine cut are basically the only things you need for furniture refinishing.

Works and worth it
I used this to get to the small spots to remove old paint .. it worked great.. you must try a practice spot first , until you get used to how to handle it ..

Most blades work but the handle needs a design fix
The pointed blade as you can see in the picture does not quite fit on the handle properly leaving you only to be able to scrape with a very tip of it. If you see the blade in my picture, it's sharp all the way around like they intended for it to be used all the way around, but the handle shape prevents that. They could have also made the file usable as a screwdriver to change blades, but that's rounded all the way over so it's hard to get a bite on the screw.

Problem solved
I was give a couple of very old (almost heritage) solid wood doors to re-purpose for our cabin project. I was stripping them (haven't done much of that, so rank amateur) and it was difficult using conventional, paint-store scrapers. This product solved ALL of the problems. Changing blades quickly and easily allowed me to fine-scrape coves and beads and ornate work. The doors came out beautifully. Well worth the $$$ spent.

I am restoring an old Church Steeple built in 1907 and it really helps with the detail work.
Super sharp stainless steel blades and has a built in file to keep them sharp plus you can not loose the file. As well the blades fit in a case so you do not loose them either. Quality and well thought out!
