Poorly constructed with a multitude of possible failure points according to American Standard Tech Support

This product simply did not work upon installation -- which I paid a plumber to. I made repeated calls to American Standard for support and they walked me through a number of tries to get it working, advised me to buy a new battery (they would not supply because I bought it from Amazon), and ultimately told me that they had no solution and that I should return it to Amazon. There are several wires between sensor, solenoid and battery, and some reviewers have reported problems with the solenoid. My experience is that the wiring or associated connectors are a jumble and there was an intermittent connection in a wire or connector, but American Standard was unwilling to handle a return and I returned it to Amazon -- Amazon returns are great to work with. Reviewing other's comments, I should have known better. Now, having seen how it is assembled, it seems designed with multiple failure points. Even two of the three American Standard support people who I spoke with commented that there are a lot of things that go wrong. I recommend finding another brand.
