Great starter set or for the car

I ordered this little tool kit to use to fix my sewing machine. The tools were great and small enough to reach into the small spaces of a sewing machine, but also provided enough length in the handles that the tools were useable for all types of small projects.

The feel and quality of everything is perfect for inside the house

Everyone is right, about the sub-standard case. However, as a former mechanic who used pro tools, the feel and quality of everything is perfect for inside the house. I purchased because I don't want to go to the garage for everything and find the common things are missing later on. I agree the case is practically worthless, however I'm going to stick with it and purchase a craftsman tool bag to organize these tools in and make it easier and quieter for me to do quick jobs. Bags are durable, easy to carry and store, lighter than boxes, and do not fall open on the floor or patio, and spill out what will appear as junk because of it. In a nutshell, I'm not sending these back because the company has a blunder with a case that is sub-standard and possibly built by another company. Don't forget to vote for whoever is honestly going to bring our manufacturing jobs from China. China is polluting the planet with these plastic cases we do not want, but they don't know we don't want them, and they were given the thumbs up. That is not their fault. Let's all rally as Americans of all colors and demand we make our own way in a sober manner. God Bless America and God Bless Amazon for providing us the opportunity to purchase from China since we obviously have lost focus on the big picture. I encourage everyone to pray for America to remain One nation, under GOD, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all. There are enough tools in this country right now to build everything we need, and with some prayer, these Chinese tools combined with the longer lasting American tools will make America great again. Just take the first step and pray, then you younger folks secure your future by using and keeping what we have and not selling it. Mexicans are taking all American tools they can to Mexico, because they know better than us? Great set with just 1 (minor) problem

First off, yes this set is cheap but it's well worth the price. People complaining about the product too harshly need a reality check. Yes its not laser cut precision accurate aluminium grade tools but its not priced that way either. I would say this set is for someone just starting out and looking for a decent tool set (like a teenager or a college student) or someone who likes to tinker around with computer parts or DIY home projects (like building a furniture from IKEA) I just finished building a bookshelf from a department store and this tool set came in handy! Took me about 2 hours and the tools were great! I had everything i needed in this set. Felt great to build something on my own and that's kinda the main reason i am writing this review. It passed the test! I will say that the only issues i have is that the fit for these tools are very tight! I have to pry the tape measure everytime and then i have to shove it hard back down to get it in place. The Screw bits are impossible to get out of their case without the pliers! But for me, considering the price, it's not the end of the world. Also the volt meter reader doesn't seem to work? I tried it out but it doesnt really register anything. I dont use it at all but if you do then it would be a con. Yours could work or i dont know how to use it properly, so theres that. If you are a professional handyman or someone who does a lot of DIY projects don't bother with this set, its not made for you in mind. Buy a $100 set that has all the trimmings. If you are someone who needs some tools to fix the occasional loose screw or that needs to change a door knob, then this is for you! For the money this is a good buy! PROS: Cheap Essential tools Decent build Good case CONS: Very tight and snug fit (especially the screw bits) Case could break its latches if you arent too careful The volt meter doesnt seem to work? (mines doesnt but yours could possibly)

Great light-use kit for the price.

This tool kit is exactly as I expected. They are "adequate" for using inside and around the house on small household projects. My wife ordered these because she was tired of me borrowing her cheap purple Wal-Mart tool set four times a week. Obviously I wouldn't want to attempt to rebuild a car or construct a house with these, but they work well for small projects in the house . I noticed in the reviews some complaints about how tightly they were held inside the box. This did not seem to be an issue for my set at all. They were snug and stayed in well, but I was able to remove each piece fairly easily. I had my little wife try and she agreed they were no trouble at all. The case is sturdy and locks well. It seems like it will hold up well especially for the light use I intend for it. For this price I would say that this is a good, solid, and adequate set for what it is intended. In comparison to the (comparable in quality and price) tool kits sold at Wal-Mart, these are slightly better quality and build in my opinion. My wife loves these little kits and uses them often, so we have had quite a few to compare to over the years.
