No more toilet build up!

It’s been a few weeks since this filter was installed. I would already start seeing more build up in the toilets but it seems to be helping! Will update if it changes.

Installed to combat hard water - so far, so good

I recently moved to a new city, and my water is incredibly hard. In the cold winters, especially, my skin is incredibly itchy and uncomfortable. After suffering a winter, I installed this filter before this coming winter. I've had it installed for about 2 months now, with a month of that being cold weather/more sensitive skin time. While it's not perfect, or 100%, this little treatment 'filter' does put a sizeable dent in my itchy hard water discomfort. I don't know how long the media will last, I suppose I'll have to rely on how my skin feels, unfortunately, but so far I'm very happy about this purchase and installation.

Easy to install

Only time will tell how it works. 5 star I hope. If it does not work I have a nice stainless still fitting.

It Works

This thing last WAY longer than 6 months. I had it installed on the line supplying filtered water to the tankless water heater. After 12 months I had the service technician come to service the water heater. The guy said he had been servicing heaters for 15 years. That my tankless heater was the cleanest he had ever seen. He flushed it and performed all the steps. He found at most 2 pinheads of scales. I am going to keep using the same installed filter. Just in case, I ordered another one today for installation on the line leading to the UV filter. It can’t hurt.

Worked for our hard water

Installed this prior to our tankless water heater to minimize calcium buildup in the heater. Works well, easy to install in line. Just need to remind myself to switch the filters when needed

Threads inside tcap wasn’t lined up with the filter

I purchased two. One was somewhat ok the thread was off. But the thread one the other one was very off.

Goodbye Scaling

I recommend this product. The water filter system was easy to install, and I am delighted with the results. The water tastes good and is clear. I installed the Aqua-Pure scale inhibition AP430ss inclined to my water heater. In addition, I installed the AP904 whole house water filter with the scale option. Since the installation of these two products, the house scaling issue has been eliminated. I am also noticing scale deposits are clearing in my dishwasher. Both products were installed on June 29, 2022. As noted in the attached shower head picture, there is no scaling. Before, it would have been running from each spray. The one thing that I did and recommend is to drain and flush your hot water tank. Also, make sure you select the filter with the scaling option.

No more minerals in my furnace humidifier!!

We have well water and the mineral buildup in the humidifier meant I was spending a lot on CLR a couple times a year to clean it. Plus, it would take me an hour or more to do so. The humidifier has only been running for a couple months but by now the scaling would have been coating everything. I'm very pleased with how this is working. Once you have this system installed, the replacement cartridges are no more than I would have paid for CLR. And this is what I can see. I don't know how much better the inside of my hot water tanks look.

No sirve

No sirve, compre el kit con el codo de instalacion y lo puse en julio 2020...cambie el filtro a los 6 meses (dic 2020) como indica el instructivo. Recien la semana pasada (febrero 2021) cambie la resistencia de mi boiler y salio aprx 1kg de sarro. No lo recomiendo al menos no en lugares con agua extremadamente dura.

Well Built product

I purchased this in line filter to help with my extremely hard water, was well packaged with a very detailed instruction sheet for those who are unsure of where to install. The include filter is made by 3M which is what gave me the confidence to try this product and it has an expected life span of 6 months. The unit has 3/4" NPT female inlet and outlets and it looks like it works on the same principle as a Venturi injection unit. I was a little concerned being on a well that it would restrict water flow, however I am getting the same flow and pressure rate as prior to installing. As for the efficiency of this unit I can not say yet as I've only just installed it however I will update in 3 and 6 months. For now I can recommend this unit based strictly the quality of its construction and 3M's name.

*NOT A FILTER* it's a "scale inhibitor"

After a house fire 10sh yrs ago decided to use PEX A (wirzbo). Great product, easy to use etc. But after 2-3 yrs of use i observed the PEX pipe discoloring (yellow tinge) on the hot water side. After some googling homework (and flushing hot water side with cleaner) i decided to try this. I rinsed as much sediment out of hot water tank as I could. Hoping to see an improvement.

Should be a good product but an old stock in old and crushed package

I received this very quickly with a water heater shipped by Amazon. I have yet to use it, but I beleive it is a good product to remove water scale. The bad is it came with an aged package box, old stock? old sign of breakage. Not a cheap stuff. Don't know why packer gave me this. Fortunately the filter inside is still in great shape. I'm keeping it anyway although returned water heater that doesn't have CSA certification.
