water flow is great!

Good flow

Has good flow. Been running good a few months now. About normal noise level for a filter. Didnt fit well with my lid.

Nice filter

A quick series of power outages fried my turtle's filter and I bought this one as a replacement. It does a great job at keeping the water clear and was a good value. I knocked off a star because it is a little noisier than other filters I've had and seems to use more water power than some others. Still, I'm pleased with it and will probably buy another when this one gives out.

Loud and Difficult to Break Apart

I added this to my 75 gallon as a secondary filter, I was mostly impressed by the gallons per hour rating and that there's plenty of space for filter media. This unit is incredibly loud, rattling like a loose impeller from unboxing. Added issue is that the build makes it difficult to access the inner workings, so it's not as simple as reseating the impeller as you would with other filters. It's loud, it doesn't seem to be moving as much water as it claims, and it's bulkier than expected. If you're on a super tight budget, maybe give this a look. Don't expect quiet and I'm also nervous about recommending it as a solo filter for any set up.

Noisy, I DO NOT recommend this filter

I have several Aqueon filters, some submersible (AT40) and some internal (medium internal) and all are very quiet and all I hear is flowing water - until this one. The motor is loud and has that rattly sound of a spinning shaft that is loose. Its very annoying. I have to turn it off so I can sleep. I'm returning it. Definitely a disappointment. Do not buy this filter.

Does the job but gets too heavy for suction cups & hooks included

I bought this filter years ago because it was in my price range. It sits inside the tank so over the years I have tried using other filters that sit outside the tanks. They always end up breaking or burning out and I’m so glad I always had this one as a back up. Now it’s my everyday filter because I truly can’t find anything else that works as well. My only problem is the filter gets too heavy with water to be held up my the clips and suction cups included so I had to find stronger ones.

Mounting to the tank

The filter is nice quite then most, but how to mount it to the tank is a big fail , when the filter is no longer good I will never buy one again

Quite and can be submerge.

Bought this filter to help my other filter clean my 55 gallon fish tank. It’s supper quite love that it can be submerged. First had the bottom suctions cups and the hanger on top but the top of the fish tank wouldn’t close. So put the suctions cups on the top as well (included) and was able to close the fish tank lid. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because it looked like it had been either used or was a return. Dirty on the outside and the box was as if it was opened from the bottom. Was ready to return it if the unit didn’t work but it did worked. So far happy with this unit.

A bit noisy

Just got it and I wish it was both less noisy and a bit more powerful for the price. I think however if my aquarium wasn't in my bedroom the noise level would be acceptable. It has decent suction but I feel like it could be stronger considering the size of it

Overall good product, but far too noisy.

Bought this for my sons aquarium. Turned it on and knew instantly that it was going back...between the vibrations and the filter noise...it would keep my son up all night. For someone who doesnt mind the noise, great filter.

Filters well

Great !

Great filter ! Absolutely silent, arrived 1 week earlier than expected and easy to assemble and to place ! My fish were getting sick because the old one stoped working but now they are fine !
