Excellent chains!
These chains are a game changer on my Ariens 24" Platinum SHO with EFI. They make plowing through deep heavy snow uphill possible. Something i couldn't do before. Installation is "easy", if you take your time, and ensure that the chain is tightly applied to the tire as you go (the same way you have to tightly apply pipe thread tape to a pipe). The first chain went on effortlessly, and i struggled a little bit with the second. I had a buddy help me latch the clasp on the second chain, which made the job even easier. You must set the snowblower in the "maintenance position", to do the install otherwise it will be near impossible to wrap the chain evenly across the very knobby tire. I wish i had purchased these sooner.

Good design but lacking enough closure links
There are two links to make the final inboard connection where there should be three. I had an awful time installing them, ahd to deflate tires, multiple failed attempts with vice grips, levers and hooked tool. I ended up adding one link to the second tire. I just couldn't get the lever lock to pull the opposite chain links. My tires are luggded 4.80"

Good Chains, but doesn't fit Ariens Platinum SHO 30 very well
I put these on my Ariens Platinum SHO 30" snowbeast, but unfortunately they settle into the highly grooved tread. I had read earlier similar report before buying. This snow year was brutal in UT and wanted a bit more traction. I probably ran these on the beast for about 20-30 hours so far this year. They MIGHT (might) give slight grab on the sidewalls in deep snow and slush so I left them on. I did take the wheels off and deflate to put them on which was necessary (thanks previous reviews!!!) to avoid more discouraging words uttered. I do think they are fairly good quality design and i like the design idea of the diagonal orientation of the cross chains, but they just are small enough to settle into the knobby tread. If i had a different wheel on it with less knobbiness, then these would be 5-star.

Quite a battle to install
These chains fit my 28" Troy-Bilt snow thrower but they are incredibly tight. It took me over an hour to install them and most of that time was spent wiggling and adjusting the chain to get enough slack to fasten the locking clamp. Even then it was difficult to lock the pelican hook style latch. I will likely leave the chains on and never take them off. Other than the installation problem, these look like they will do the job.

They do fit, if you work at it.
These chains will fit a 16" tall 4.80x8 snowblower tire, if you work at it long enough. ( provided they sent you the right ones.) Drain the gas, put the blower up in the maintenance position, so you can spin the tires, let all the air out of the tires, ALL OF IT. Lay the chains out like the instructions say, then drape them over the tire, with the cross chain connectors facing out, ( ends not into tire.) and the S hook on the inside. Connect the inside "S" hook first. Then just keep spinning the tire, looking for slack anywhere you can get it. When I started, It was 6 inches away, keep working on it, they will fit, It may not seem like it at first, but they will fit. Fill the tires back up to about 16 PSI. ( Pray for snow. )

Easy to install.. Not
Just got these today. Ordered size as per my tire. Followed instructions to the letter. Could not get these tire chains on for the life of me. Supposedly the extra links help and you're are supposed to tie back or cut off these links after installation. The C hook will hook up with much groaning and labour but the locking mechanism won't reach the last link of the chain. Build is great quality, but even several views on YouTube din't even helpme get these puppies on the tire. Will try once later after I get my breath back otherwise back they go. Anyone out there have a solution?

Snow thrower chains
These tire chains were put onto a Cub Cadet snow blower. They were a bit of a pain putting them onto the tires. I had to do some adjusting to the chains, by removing a few links. I had to cut them off with a bolt cutter. They fit perfect now and the snow blower will ready for a snow storm come Winter.

Good, only alternative I was able to find for Cub Cadet
These are used on a Cub Cadet snowblower. A bit of a pain to install and I needed to use zip ties to secure them. They seem to be working although the hooks sometimes release and need to be reattached. A nuisance, not a problem. I was unable to find an alternative when I ordered them. They are certainly better than no chains.

Should have bought them sooner
They fit perfectly with the knobby tires that they were made for, dont even need to deflate the tires just a little patience. Night and day difference in traction. Really should have bought them years ago.

Best way to apply chains IMO
Once I removed the tire and rim, laid out chain on workbench and deflated the tire, it was a 5 minute process per wheel, chain fits well as to what I ordered and seems to work quite well so far after one use in.
