Pretty basic tool, but works well and provides everything you need
It's just some bolts, nuts, and caps...but: 1. It saves the hassle of figuring out and finding the right sizes of hardened hardware for your application 2. The nuts are oversized (3/4", 19mm) which makes things easier 3. The caps are actually useful and kept the bolts from trying to kick out (I tried without them first) I used a little grease to try to minimize wear. So far they've only pulled one pair of hubs from a 10-year-old Subaru in New England (note rust on mating surface in photo of one), but despite leaning pretty hard on them they show no damage so far. I used the big Milwaukee M18 1/2" impact on the first one, but decided to go a little slower on the second with a longer 1/2" ratchet. Both worked fine. If I wear them out I'll probably just buy hardened bolts/nuts to replace them, but I feel this set was absolutely worth the money for me. Spent under $200 for OEM hub, new CV nut, and this kit. Dealer quoted $650, independent said 400ish. Beats endless hammering or a big air hammer by a good measure.

Great and bad.
I was torn between giving this 5 stars or 1 star. Ultimately the tool worked, so 5 stars it is. The main issue I have is that these are almost disposable. I used one to remove a very stuck front hub bearing on a Saturn Vue. The tool worked 100% as described. However, the contact point of the push screw mushroomed out rendering any reuse of that particular screw impossible. The manufacturer markets these as "Impact rated". They are not. But it DID work. So I will keep the remaining screws in my tool box with the understanding that they will probably need to be scrapped with the old part when I use them. I do recommend these, but keep in mind that if your bearing is REALLY stuck, the tool may get ruined with use.

Excellent design! A ball bearing is at the end of each bolt. Worth the extra money!
Excellent design! A ball bearing is at the end of each bolt. These are built like a brick... house! (Thanks to The Commodores for that awesome song title and tune!) Another high-quality product from Astro. Worth the extra money over the generic stuff!

Awesome tool!
I bought a used Subaru Crosstrek that saw extreme weather and road salt. The hubs were rusted in place. I removed two lug bolts and used this tool to separate the hub from the backing plate. No hammering and cussing. Simply used an electric driver to do the work. Well worth the money.

Time saver
I have done more than a few wheel bearings and this thing saves time and frustration. I put wheel bearing grease on the threads to make them last a little longer but it is still a wear item. Well worth it in my view.

Works as advetised
Great time saver. Could only use bolts one time as it messed up the threads, but bearing was really stuck (obviously). But there are 4 (four) bolts and nuts included. The base plates are reusable. There are some great videos on how to use it, so you are unsure just do a quick search.

Worked Too Well!
I used this tool while trying to remove a frozen rear wheel hub/bearings assembly on my 2015 Subaru Outback. It was so frozen to the knuckle (or spindle) that this tool actually separated the hub from bearings, leaving the race still fused to the spindle. The bolts had to punch through the dust shield to reach the spindle which was gapped a 1/2 inch back... easily fixed with a hammer. Eventually, I had to use an air hammer to get it out. I picked a couple of 90mm long M12-1.25 bolts from Tractor Supply (to save the original flange bolts from damage), got a CP717 air hammer plus a 60-gallon compressor and went at them for nearly 20 minutes (excluding the breaks to have the compressor recharge) before the race budged from the spindle.

Great Idea But
After watching Eric O. from South Main Auto demo this tool and subsequently trying it out myself, I have mixed feelings about it. While it's very useful for extracting frozen wheel bearings without damaging them or the knuckle (very useful for some vehicles when changing a wheel stud requires bearing removal) the durability of the bolts provided is less than ideal. I've only used my bolts a couple of times and already the supplied nuts don't thread on by hand anymore indicating some thread damage has already occurred despite lubricating the threads as directed. As a result, it's complicated to recommend this tool considering it's rather expensive for 4 bolts, 4 nuts and 4 feet that aren't going to withstand a lot of use. In the end if you view this as an "emergency tool" with a limited lifespan it's still worth picking up but the poor lifespan means I just can't justify granting this higher than 3 stars.
