Large... but gets the job done.
I bought a pair of these for winter hiking. There are pros and cons to these pants but otherwise they do exactly what I bought them for. Here are my thoughts! As I said, I needed something to both keep me warm and to protect me from the elements. This does both of those things for me and I have worn them both around town and on some hiking trips (most notably in the Smoky Mountains). These are very warm pants. I tried to wear these on a warmer Tennessee day and that was not a great idea! That being said, I've always stayed warm wearing these in colder weather. Just a small tradeoff. Also, I normally would wear 32/29, but Wrangler doesn't offer that so I always buy from them 32/30 instead. This is normally okay for the most part except these seem to be extra long! They even fold under my shoes while I'm walking. The only time I ever got them to stay up is when I was at work and wearing my boots. I get that you want more fabric to block the wind and protect me from the elements, but this is way too much. It makes me wish they had a 32/28. Speaking of size, it's also a bit wide even by Wrangler standards. I have Wrangler jeans for work that are 32/30 and will stay up even without a belt, but when I went hiking in the mountains I forgot my belt once, and they kept sliding down! What's weird is that sometimes it fits and sometimes it doesn't, but I don't know if that's the pant's problem or if that's me actually getting wider/narrower throughout the day, but this is the only pair of pants that has done this to me. With the negatives out of the way, here's all the positives... Extraordinarily sturdy! I accidentally slipped on a cliff and smashed my knee into a sharp tree stump once, it didn't even scratch my pants! It washed right out (and I'm okay). The pockets are small but plentiful. My phone (Galaxy S10+) with a case will barely fit in the side pocket, but it does indeed fit. And the materials seem sturdy. Fits great with boots! Maybe not so much with small shoes like I prefer, but then again that isn't what the pants are made for so I can't bring myself to lower the rating for it. Overall, I have already went and recommended this pair to my friends. It's not to be confused with their lightweight "plastic" outdoor gear, this is for someone who is serious about the outdoors and wants something more like jeans but even tougher. I personally enjoy the color, style, and comfort of it too!

Minor quibbles
Comfortable to wear, and a little sturdier than typical. The zippered pocket is on the LEFT side. So if you are a right-handed person, you are working the pocket zipper left-handed....awkward. That said, THANK YOU Wrangler for making these pants. Just wanted traditional fitting pants - NOT a short zippered "LOW RIDER". These delivered. I gave my Carhart pants to the thrift....they were terrible low riders. Not into plumbers crack, cold breezes, and constantly hiking my pants up. I now have 3 pairs of these Wranglers. I found the fit for an average sized man to be fine and the waist accurate, if anything a tiny touch on the tighter side. Folks with heavier/thicker builds MIGHT have fit problems.

Don't sit with your wallet in your back pocket
These pants are overall great. They're durable, comfortable, and fit true to size. My only con is that the rear pockets are placed high, and when I sit with my wallet in my back pocket, all my cards get bent. I still plan on getting more in the future. The one thing I think is important to mention, is that the waist measurement is pretty exact, and not stretchy at all. If you might be slightly larger than your preferred waist measurement, order a size up for sure.

Fit amd finish is top notch.
The fit and finish of these Wrangler ATG's were great. The only somewhat of a disappointment was the thickness of the material being used. I thought they would be a little more rugged. I also thought that the main seams should be triple row stitched.

Great durable pant.
These a great durable pants. They strike a good balance between durability and discreetness. I was looking for a good pair of pants that would hold up to harder use, but also not look like the dreaded tacticool bro. These wranglers do a good job at balancing the two. They are reinforced in areas like the groin, knees and leg bottoms. However not to the point where it looks ridiculous. Its just subtle reinforced stitching and material in these heavier wear areas. My only complaint with these pants, holding them back from 5 stars is the pockets. There is no way around it the pockets are just to small. Its a shame because other than that these are perfect. Overall wrangler did a good job with these pants, I'm 6' 4" and got a 36w 34l they after one wash they fit true to size, that being said they will shrink a bit if machine washed and dried so if you're between two sizes get the bigger.

Best work pants I’ve worn in a while
Pros: Thick durable material Pockets for dayyyyys Deep pockets Great fit. Not too loose, not too tight Cons: Thick material doesn’t breathe very well Color fades pretty quickly The fit is loose in the thighs and slimmer in the calves which for me is a perfect fit. Depending on how heavy you are you might not like how they fit your lower legs. Try ‘em out, I’m glad I did!

Love love these
Bought these for my husband for work and we love them!! By far the best work pants he has owned. Very comfortable, and have a really nice fit.

reassuringly robust
Smart enough to wear every day yet fully capable of being worn when taking part in more unforgiving activities. The pockets are ample and fabric looks like it can take a beating. The sewing is tidy and appears to be done well. Conversely to every other review I found mine to be a slightly bigger fit, in both the length and waist. I ordered a 34x34 and received an item labeled 34x34. The extra room does make the fit very comfortable, although I do need to wear a belt and roll the bottoms up around the house when not wearing boots. I have ordered a second pair in the same size - if the fit is different with these I will chalk it down to the original being mislabeled. Overall I am very happy with these trousers (pants to any US readers) and I feel that the more I use them the more character they will develop, like a good pair of jeans.

Leg wasn't right.
The material feels nice and durable, but I never really wear these pants since I bought them. When you order a 30 leg, you expect a 30 leg. These pants are too long in the leg, feels more like a 30wX32L rather than 30X30. Strange wrangler can't get that right since my Amazon Essentials pants fit perfect in the leg and are the supposed same size.

Great value pants
I have two pairs of these now and love them. They look great and are really well made with enough stretch to make them really comfortable. Despite coming from Amazon USA they arrived in about a week. Great that they offer a short leg length.
