Well made, bright and attractive

My grandson is four and just getting into simple math. I had ordered another abacus before I saw this one. It seemed flimsy and cheap in comparison. This was only about 5 dollars more, but so much nicer. It's really well made and if it's not being used still a bright and colorful addition to a child's room. Very happy with it.

My niece unboxed this item as if it was Christmas morning, she is so excited to begin completing math problems with her beautifully made abacus. There was a bit of a chemical smell upon opening the box but that could be many different things, i.e. the treatment of the wood, the fruity pieces, the plastic wrapped/inserted around the abacus to prevent scuffing during transit - packaging was nicely done by the way!, etc. It wasn’t overpowering, just catches you off guard. I don’t imagine this to be an issue after airing out overnight. The fruity pieces are a very nice touch as well as the designs on the wood. I chose this product over a plastic product as I was looking for something sturdy that would stand the test of time. I purchased this item for durability purposes and to make learning something a bit confusing fun for her! The colorful fruit is a game changer - it plays off of a child’s attention span while being relatable. I imagine this will be a family heirloom. I’m very excited to begin working with her while utilizing the abacus; as her excitement over a math tool lets me know this was a great investment in her education. Now it’s time to get to work!

My idea of a great Abacus! Grandson loves it

My 2yo grandson unpacked it and played with it immediately on his birthday. Tonight, I see him walk over to it and start pushing fruits, so I started counting in Spanish with him (his school began teaching him Spanish recently). What a great sight! We are using it for colors and numbers (English and Spanish)! Fruits slide easily (don't get stuck) and it is well made and heavy. My grandson is a brut, and even he leans to carry it. He's learned not to move it far! :)

This was one of those gifts that our kids had to pose a for a minute and think what does this turn into or plug in . Well after my wife showed how this thing work . She got it and she likes using It she's 5 years old . Another winner and will last forever "well" close to it . OLD SHOOL BUT SUPPRISENLY LIKED OVER A COMPUTER TYPE.

Great craftsmanship, solid wood.

Wonderfully made toy. This is much larger than I expected it to be and it is quality made with solid wood. My kids will have this toy for a long time. The only complaint I have is simply that the colors are a little off. This is probably apparent in the picture, but for exampld the blueberries are a bright superman blue, rather than a dark purplish blue, and the strawberries are a magenta and bright pink, rather than being red. Not a huge deal, but it makes teaching my daughter a little harder when the colors arent as realistic as they could be. However I would still recommend this toy for the quality and craftsmanship.
