They are ugly in person
In person, they don’t look like the picture. In the picture, it appears to be like a RAW natural lacquered wood with white stripes and blue. It’s actually completely painted and the wood is all chipped out like somebody did a rush job on routing it. They are heavy enough to use, though it actually takes quite a bit of force to knock them down. We place them on a yoga mat to keep them stable. The ball is a little bit too late for the pins, but other than that if they had looked as nice as they did in the pictures of the description I would’ve kept them.

Good for my grandsons
I like it because is not plastic , and my grandsons really like to play with it , he’s 4 years old, and he’s fanatic to play bowling

Great outdoor fun!
This is a fun set and makes a great family gift. Everything is well made, smooth, painted nicely. Fun for all ages to play. Would have liked the base of the pins to be just a tad larger so it would be easier for them to stand on less than perfect grass but we mostly use at the beach anyway.

Be choosy where you set up
Impossible to play in the grass as they are too light and cannot stand in grass. You must play on either cement or flooring. The ball is really little. Getting past those obstacles is good. It's fun.

Very disappointed
This arrived today. It was for 2 of my grandchildren ages 2, and 4. Upon opening the box, I could see the tops of the pins were not uniform. Meaning, some were a little flat others were rounded . When I took the balls from the box, a wood chip fell from one of the balls. When I turned the ball around that’s when I saw how poorly it was crafted, and it was a hazard for the children, in order for them to use it, it would need to be sanded all around the edges and inside too, as when you put your finger in , you touch rugged pieces of wood that can splinter off in the fingers. The pins looked used. There was paint on them where it wasn’t supposed to be. And the pins too felt as if they’d not even been sanded. Too rough for a toddlers fingers. Again, a splinter hazard. I’ve contacted Amazon, and these will be returned immediately. This definitely is not worth the money, and is a hazard for children. The advertisement of this item very mis leading. You do NOT get what you see.

Too small, light-weight, and cheaply made
The description reads that the pins are 8" but they are also very thin and not nearly heavy enough. They're much smaller than a normal 12-14oz water bottle. The balls are also wooden but somehow feel as light-weight as plastic. The wood is grainy and chipped and the paint on one of the balls is blotchy. Maybe fun for very little kids but certainly not worth more than $15 or $20.

Decent enough for a couple good games
The balls are quite a bit lighter than I had thought they would be, and the paint comes off really easily same goes for the pins really. Given the size of the pins, it can be difficult to get them to stay upright on anything other than a manicured lawn.
