My daughter loves her

I basically only bought these doll because I saw that her arms and legs bend. I think it's a bit odd that they made her legs colored. However my daughter apparently liked that part because it's hard to get pants in dolls. She was upset that they didn't make a boy one. She said there is always a boy with every other Chelsea set.

Great to see Chelsea dolls with more articulation, but.. not a good design.

Summary: The MSR price is much too high, paying for gimmicky costumes, and color changing plastic paints. Wait for them to be on sale under $10. Details: The articulation is good, and I have to praise the designers for making elbow and knee joints on the Chelsea doll line. The legs are semi-translucent colored plastic, making it look sort of.. unfinished? The hair has color-streaks that don't look good in my opinion. The body is painted white, so you have limited clothing options. The hips are not like other Chelsea dolls, because there is no belt-line above the hips where regular Chelsea clothes will stop, skirts rise up to the armpits. Normally, dolls have a small plastic seam at the belt line to stop things rising up to the armpits. This doll gets more narrow up to the armpits, so she wears a skirt like it was a belly-wrapper. This obviously leaves the bottom part of the doll looking awkward. The tiger outfit is a clash of colors: pink with white trim and black tiger stripes. The skirt is a rainbow cheetah-print that looks accidentally stained, poor choice to use a yellow patch in the front/center. The shoes are solid blue. Nothing else matches the blue. The hair is blonde with pink stripes, which makes the doll's darker skin tone look a bit like a 'fake-n-bake' tan. I am really disappointed in the scheme, the colors are a catastrophe as nothing matches. The articulation is the best quality this doll has, and for articulated joints it is not worth $20. Mattel would do well to produce normal articulated chelsea dolls, rather than these over-stylized things. - no hair color streaks - animal costumes should be sold separate like other chelsea doll accessory kits - no color changing plastic faces - include the small plastic belt seam to stop skirt from rising - Like other chelsea dolls, I hope to see it sold for under $10.
