Not very useful

I was hoping to use this to keep track of when I get mail, watching for movement inside the mailbox. Unfortunately, I live in apartment complex and the mailroom is far away from my apartment (which is why I want mail alerts in the first place). However, the mailroom has Wi-Fi available. When I saw that this motion sensor used Wi-Fi and supported IFTTT, I was hoping to set this up and have it communicate via IFTTT to my smart home to indicate when I have mail. Unfortunately, the BAZZ motion sensor /has/ to be on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone to work, even after setup. I don't really understand why, as that makes it mostly pointless. This is marketed as a security device, but a security device that doesn't work when you're not home is...basically useless. I wouldn't bother buying this, unless you're really sure that it only working when you're home is ok.

Does ok for the money.

It does good enough for the price. Software app is bit difficult. Battery doesn't last as long as described (less than a month). But for the price I would buy another. It's a good feeling having it in an outbuilding shop for security.

As of 1/5/2022, not compatible with IFTTT

After lots of wasted time spent on Tuya/Smart Home PIR motion sensor, attempting to integrate with IFTTT, I gave up and purchased the Bazz PIR motion sensor. I did so because IFTTT compatibility was featured in the ad and on the physical box. Too bad. There is no dedicated Bazz app on the Play Store (it's a rebranded Smart Home app) and there is no way to create a Bazz trigger of any kind in IFTTT. Returning.
