TRIED and TRUE!!!
I puchased one of these back in late 2009 from Fry's Electronics and it served me extremely well over the years. I love the old school industrial aesthetics and build quality of this particular BELKIN Power Surge. Fast forward, I rediscovered the item here on Amazon a few weeks ago and didn't hesitate to puuchase another one? Unfortunately, the item they sent me originally looked "Refurbished " so I contacted Amazon Customer Service, and they sent me a replacement within 24 hours? The replacement order was "brand new" and everything worked out fine? I like to thank "Mels" (Supervisor) for her professional troubleshooting and supurb customer service skills. Thank you again Amazon for another positive experience.

The best surge protector for devices that specifically want to be plugged in to the wall.
The device is able to accommodate and protect the large plugs of devices that need a lot of power. My Roku can't be used with a regular extension cord, (it will spontaneously stop working). I have my air conditioner, Roku controller and tv attached to it and have had no problems with it.

Bought to avoid electrical interference from a long distance...this device delivered!
Seems great so far...I've only had it for a week or so. Will update if the thing ever breaks to give others a timeline on what to expect based on my experience.

It works as intended
It seems to work as intended so far but like other reviewers have mentioned the middle screw does not fix into a standard outlet.

Good product
Perfect for what I need it for, looks and built well. Very well made

Recepticals are too close together.
Like many of these types of "multiplug" extension/surge cords, it is nearly impossible to use all receptacles on the cord.

Belkin 6-Outlet Power Strip, Wall Surge Protector
This mounts directly into a wall outlet. Not sure why Amazon is asking for a rating on "Cord length", "for traveling", or "Versatility". Anyway, Belkin is our go to for surge protection.

Very good surge protector.
Works for what I need it for. I use it for my printer and router. It has a 2,500J, which indicates how much energy it can absorb before it fails. Bought this 2 years ago and it's still working fine. The length and the number of outlets is perfect for me. The outlets are spaced out so it's ideal for plugs that take an abnormal amount of space.

Emits High Pitched Noise When Charging with USB
I used to relate Belkin to a good quality brand, but I will not buy from them again. I purchased this product and liked the USB charging option. Well, when I charge my phone at night, the electronic components related to USB charging emit a faint and high-pitched noise, which is not ideal when you're trying to sleep. The noise is NOT from my phone but from this plug unit. Now I don't trust using it with any of my electronics, it's garbage.

Review for the Belkin 8-Outlet Commercial Power Strip Surge Protector with 8-Foot Power cord (BE108000-08-CM; B002QPZXH2)
Pro: the bulk of the construction is fine, especially the cord. The cord itself is plenty thick and I have no worries about casual contact doing any damage to it. It was also very affordable so I'll give it that. Con: it was UNBELIEVABLY hard to plug in anything. I tried to plug in something and the force required made me afraid I would break something. I might have even seen a spark but it has yet to cause me concern. It only got a bit easier to plug and unplug things when I turned off the power strip and just took a random plug and plugged-unplugged every outlet to 'wear' it in a bit, as it were. But it shouldn't take that. Also, one of the plastic cover plates fell off. I managed to pop it back in, but I don't know if it's safe to use that outlet so I decided to just not use that outlet. I don't know if that's rational but as it stands, I have a basic lamp plugged in another outlet and it hasn't done anything yet, thank goodness. Conclusion: Belkin is a notable and reliable company on the whole. I was disappointed with this power strip though. Barring problems, I'll probably still use this until I can acquire a different one. I can't confidently recommend this power strip to anyone though. Plugging in anything was exceptionally difficult and the covers are finicky and breakable. Overall, I will still buy Belkin in the future - just not this again. Tip: the outlet covers were really finicky and not like the rest of the power strip in terms of construction and plastic used. So finicky that one broke. However, Belkin does have other power strips or bars that lack the cover. So if you have your heart or budget set on a Belkin power strip or bar, I suggest one without covers, assuming the others don't suffer from the same plug in difficulties.

Very Good Surge Protector
I wanted a safe and reliable surge protector to plug in many power cords. Belkin is a known brand so I decided on their 8-Outlet commercial power strip. It has worked well so far. Keep in mind, the spacing on this model, 4 outlets closer to the power cord are spaced closer together and the other 4 are spaced further apart. The 4 closest to the power cord may have issues with plugging bulkier power adapters/cables based on the spacing and also the design of this power strip as there is an incline raise on the power cord side. I have had no issues with this product so far and is a peace of mind having a fail safe.

Almost Perfect
Excellent quality and Joule rating. This was the only compact style surge bar that was rated at 2500 joules. Every other surge bar I found was rated at around 1000 joules in this size. The selling point was the flat angled plug that still allowed you to use both outlets off the wall instead of impeding it. The one issue I do have is the plastic slide tabs that go over the neutral and hot holes are impossible to slide by hand. With the device unplugged, I had to use a flat screwdriver and slide it into the slot in order to open and/or close the holes. This is fine for now since I have just the right amount of outlets set to the open position, but if I ever want to use more outlets, I would need to unplug it from the wall so I can stick the screwdriver in to open the other outlets. This wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to move my furniture to get to the outlet this surge bar is going into.
