Took some trial and error.

My first batch of hard boiling 12 large Eggs was a failure due to the suggested water amount on the provided measuring cup for 7-14 Eggs was way to little and the Eggs were all VERY undercooked and impossible to peel. In order to correctly cook 12 Eggs. I used slightly less water than the 4-7 Egg mark towards the top of the measuring Cup and my second attempt yielded perfectly cooked, hard boiled Eggs that were very easy to peel. I love the Egg trays with the little handles on the sides. This makes it very easy to dump the Eggs into a large bowl for the Ice bath of the Eggs. Other Tips: Use Vinegar to remove stains from the heating plate. If stains persist, use a Magic Eraser. Using distilled Water will produce the easiest cleanest results. Lastly, rather than trying to poke a hole in the fat end of Egg, lightly tap the fat end of the Egg on the Kitchen Counter to create a small crack/divit in the Egg that will make the egg even easier to peel than poking a hole with the measuring Cup.

It Works!

Sort of strange, simple looking product, and fairly small, but if you follow the directions (not difficult), it works (did for me) in cooking eggs in the shell exactly as described. Do not skip any steps, like the ice bath and peeling. The only thing that is a waste or useless to me is their VERY small "omelet" tray. Completely unnecessary. You could toss that. Use a skillet for omelets.

The best little egg cooker!

I bought this for hard boiled eggs. Over the years switching from an electric to gas stove I never could get the perfect egg without the shell sticking and cooking unevenly. I tried everything, changing times and methods. I thought I’d order this so as soon as I opened the box rinsed everything and wanted to try right away! I placed 14 eggs in (not pierced even though the directions recommends) added the water and the unit shuts off when the water is gone. It made not one batch but two batches of perfectly cooked hb eggs. We used them to color for Easter. This will be a staple for sure in our house and now we can enjoy the perfect snack!

It works.

It hard boiled 4 eggs on our 1st attempt. Although perhaps the yolk was medium in the center. I'll put a little bit more water in it to hopefully get a hard boiled yolk next time. But I do like this unit. I think I'll keep it.

If it browns on bottom!!

Works great and hardboiled eggs perfectly on single and double stack. I had browning on bottom from one of the eggs that cracked, along with deposits from water. All you have to do is put a little white vinegar on bottom, let it soak then wipe away. Then using a clean wet paper towel wipe vinegar out.

A "Must Have" for every kitchen!

It works right out of the box. You have to pay attention to the instructions on how much water to use. I've never use anything like this before, it is so easy and fast! I boiled 7 large size eggs on this, and they all came out perfect. The only thing was that I put too much water and ended up with a little residual carbonized water at the bottom. Nothing to worry about, just a little dish washing soap and water to clean it off. I will definitely buy another one for the office!
