Impressed

This product impressed me immensely. We saw a similar Bemis product like this installed in a local hospital lavatory and liked it very much. Installation is very straightforward and I appreciated the snap off nut method to properly tighten the seat down. This now gives us the desired taller seat without replacing the entire toilet. Very pleased.

was a Game changer....UPDATE- now broken!

Just got my new Bemis seat installed and it is a game changer. I love it. I have advanced osteoarthritis in my hips and knees and used to have to "rock" for ever to get the momentum to get up from my toilet. With this new seat no more rocking! Just slide on and slide off. I am a plus size woman and this seat is very sturdy, with absolutely no movement in the seat. It is easy to clean and attractive as a toilet seat can be. This is a mandatory item for anyone out there that has difficulty getting up from their "throne", lol... (I do wish they made a splash attachment as I have to be extra careful when using my hand held water bidet that the water doesn't squirt out.).......### VERY UPSET with my seat. It was installed just over a month ago and it has misaligned and fallen off the porcelain rim. The return window just closed so I don't know what to do! I am disabled and almost fell when I tried to get up after using the bathroom this morning. The leg risers never did match my toilet bowl perfectly but at the time of installation there was no movement so I thought I was ok. But after a month of use, it had moved slightly and today one side totally slipped off the porcelain bowl. Now I can't use it at all. I don't know if I got a defective item or not. This never happened before with any of my other Bemis seats (I have bought three). With the locking nuts I can't even buy something at a hardware store to fix it. I don't know what to do. Very disappointed!!

Worth it!

The only problem I had with the installation was the tool they supply was too long to fit in the narrow space where the toilet is located. On the other hand the communication with the company was easy, even on the weekend and I got the job done. 3 months and frequent use later the seat remains firm and easy to use.

This is an awesome seat.

I bought this for my downstairs half bath. For years ive ben struggling to get up off the toilet and I suspect grabbing and pulling on my vanity has worsened my shoulder pain. I hesitated for months because of the price. Now I’m considering getting on for the upstairs commode to replace my over the toilet potty chair

Good product

Helps my wife get off the toilet easier. Easy installation. The bottom edge of the seat had a quite sharp edge that could potentially cut your hand so I used sandpaper to smooth it out.

Large enough opening

So many lift toilet seats did not have room for a man to be comfortable. This one did and sturdy too. His only complaint would be having to put wads of TP to avoid the urine coming out the front. They have one that is enclosed. I was afraid to order thinking it might be to tight and it was more costly.

A perfect toilet seat. Expensive but worth every penny.

The additional 3 inches added to my toilet height has been a godsend. Severe arthritis was making it hard for me to stand up after using the commode. I had a concern that it might be hard to clean, but this is not the case. Actually it is easier to clean than my old toilet seat.

Good Seat for the Elderly

I bought this for my elderly mother. The raised up seat makes it easier for her to get up after done on the toilet. The seat is sturdy and looks good with the lid. Installation was a breeze. It has been in use for a few months now and no issues at all with it. Worth the cost for certain.

Perfect fit for toilet

Speedily shipped, this toilet seat lifter was exactly as described. It fits the toilet perfectly without wobble, allows me to clean the toilet thoroughly. It was especially convenient that the toilet came with a box wrench that permitted me to tighten the nuts in that awkward spot under the toilet seat near the toilet tank. It's expensive, but we have experience with rental seats that do not work nearly as well and do not support thorough cleaning without completely dismantling the installation. Because the seat is in effect on firm stilts over the toilet bowl, you'll need to get used to new sounds!

Does pinch you if you are a large person

Only used overnight for my elderly mother for it pinched her when sitting , the opening part so I put it away for me if I need it later for future hip replacement was way too expensive should have returned but I’ll get older and will use it, you sit 3 inches higher which is good but the opening part the same one my dentist has and our school toilets when we were kids are designed that way for less meat on our bones not good for fatter legs when sitting but 10 Times sturdier than a regular toilet seat, hope this helps.

Average design at best, poor quality control

Installed it and immediately uninstalled and returned it. It looks absolutely ridiculous and my unit had a manufacturer's defect where one of the front stabilizer/risers protruded into the middle opening with a sharp plastic edge, perfect for scratching or cutting your sensitive bits. It's a nice idea in theory, but just get a standard open-front toilet seat without risers from a more reputable brand ...or just go all-in and buy a taller toilet.
