"German" tool made in Taiwan
I just got this tool. Cutting edges seem sharp, it cuts smoothly and easily and seems like it might last a long time. My problem with the tool is that the information label on the box says "made in Taiwan," but on the tool it is marked "Bessey-Germany." Really? Guess I have an ax to grind here. I have lost several hundred dollars over the last few years buying expensive name brand tools that, to my surprise, are now made in Taiwan or China, and which have fallen apart on me. I will keep this one because it looks to be well made, but, please, a little more honesty in labeling would be nice. If it's made in Taiwan, don't print Germany on it. Might also be nice if it wasn't still priced like a fine German tool.

Highest quality I've seen in a snip
This snip cost twice as much as any I've used, but the quality of the cutting head is absolutely great. The cutting head looks of much higher quality and operates smoother then the cheapies (of which I've owned several in my life). Cheapies do work fine for occasional work, but I expect this one to last me forever. I haven't used it much yet, but it easily and cleanly cut through the copper sheeting I was working with as well as some 1/8" steel cables, and I couldn't recommend it higher. I'm no expert, just someone who appreciates the best tools.

So far so good
So far so good, took about a month for them to wear in. When I would close the snips they would not want to spring back, they were a little tight. Seems fine now.
