Oh Bessey, what have you done? No longer German, and assembled upside down!
I just bought several of these, and they were all assembled upside down. Fortunately it's a really easy fix. Unscrew the handle until the swivel tip pops off (you may have to ensure the tip meets the yoke squarely, not canted, but then it should pop off quite easily). Then switch the screws around and tap the swivel tip back on with a mallet (or clamp pressure). (Again, ensure the tip is square, not canted, for easiest assembly.) Takes longer to write about it than to do it. I strongly suspect the assembly quality control (hah) is related to their no longer being German made. I considered they might be counterfeit, but I'm pretty sure not. Aside from the lack of "Germany" markings they're pretty indistinguishable from older German ones I have, and the parts are interchangeable.

Assembly Error
Bought 3. 2 are fine. 1 was assembled upside down and is useless. Beware.

costly but worth it.
Purchased a cheaper brand before I bought these. they were a cam system, but the rubber pads didn't stick. The Bessey EKT55 One-Handed Edge Clamp is not only a better gripper, the pads don't come loose. The action is smooth. The construction is sturdy. Real wood handle. A little spendy, but worth it.

Edge Clamp
I purchased this clamp to use on my mortising machine. I needed a clamp to keep the the wood snug up against the fence. This clamp works well in that operation. It was easy to install on the mortising table with only 1 bolt needed to install the clamp.

Skip these
These are cumbersome to use and for unique situations only. If I could do it over I would get the single spindle ones. When tightening the F clamp moves before enough pressure is applied to the edge.

These are not genuine Bessey clamps.
The clamps I received are counterfeit. They showed up loose in a box no packaging. All of the yolks are assembled backwards making them unusable. DO NOT BUY.
