The pipe clamp is what many people think about when they think clamps for woodworking. They are exceptionally affordable - you buy the a set of clamping fixtures (head & tail piece), then attach them to a length of iron black pipe. Clamping fixtures are available to fit 1/2 inch & 3/4 inch black pipe, something to remember is that pipe is sized by its inside diameter (size of hole) not the external dimension. Clamping fixtures for black pipe offer versatility, as clamp capacity is only limited by the length of pipe you select. It takes very little time to move the clamping fixtures from one pipe to another. Features ACME threaded spindle & multiple clutch plates. They are easy to assemble & incredibly durable. BESSEY. Simply better.

Love the height of the feet.
The knob is cast into the crank, so I think maybe a swivel knob might work better. Otherwise the quality is so much better than other brands. The threads are cut well and turn way more smoothly than cheaper brands.

Great clamps
Love these bessey pipe clamps. Unlike the pony or Irwin, these have legs to raise the pipe off of the ground.

best long-bar clamps
These clamps are cheap costing, well built and only get expensive when one has to buy the 3/4# pipe to use with them. 8' purchased at Home Depot cost me more than $80. I like the support stands on the back side even though I didn't use them this time. The upside is that the working length of these clamps iis theoretically unlimited and physically limited only by weight and practically of the amount of pipe used. instead of buying an 8 foot length i bought 2 4' lengths and a coupler so if I need to clamp something less that 4' I can use half the pipe. I also used thread antifreeze on all threads because the pipe threads are not galvanized readily susceptible to rust. if memory serves, I can buy 2', 3' 4' 6' , 8' and 10' 3/4" pipe at HD. If I need a l onger clamp in the future though I will stick to the smaller lengths, which are more versatile than one big, heavy length

Clamps work well - little rubber pad fall off stright away
It's a pipe clamp - been around for years. They added a small rubber pad, and it falls off easily. Put some glue on it to hold it on. Am a firm believer in good tools, a great tool would not need modifying to keep the rubber pad in place.

Bessey has fixed the quality control problem
I ordered a pair. One threaded perfectly onto 1/2" pipe. The other would not. The threads are not cut correctly. I returned for a replacement and the replacement is also defective - would not thread onto standard 1/2" pipe (pipe was purchased pre-threaded - I did not cut the pipe threads - further, the first clamp threads on no problem).. It is going back. Sad that Bessey quality has dropped - no control on defects. What good is a 1/2' pipe clamp that will not thread onto 1/2" pipe? UPDATE: Contacted Bessey and they investigated the issues at the factory, fixed the problem and sent me a new replacement set directly.

Can't do without this. So convenient
Lightweight, sturdy, can make any size clamp by just changing the pipe size. Price very high

Fantastic holding power and super value.
Awesome awesome awesome. These are fantastic. Just a word of warning Don’t try to be clever and use stainless pipe. It is just under the od of the GALV. Other than that mega clamps for minimal money’s.

Good value for money and should last for many years
These came from America via amazon and were very well priced. These are not refined pipe clamps in any way but they work well enough and being cast iron should last for many years. As they are very good vfm I would be happy to buy again and almost certainly will once my workshop is ready.
