18 Cup Behemoth
Most obviously, this pot is huge. The quality of the piece is excellent with one exception. I should note this is my first Moka Pot, so I could be wrong, but the basket that holds the grounds with a tube coming off the bottom has an angle that does not look correct. I would assume it should be straight. It does not seem to affect the performance, but none the less, I don’t believe it is correct. Everything else looks perfect. One pot nets me three large iced americanos.

Best coffee ever
We had the best coffee in the world while out there camping. We shared with other campers and blew everyone’s minds. You do have to take your time with it. You need to watch it to make sure you don’t over cook your coffee and it take take a small while for it to finish its batch. (I did get the largest size). Use a little bit of water on the outside of the base to stop the pot when it’s done.

Echoing other reviewers thoughts - Open Box? Returned Item?
Not my first Bialetti Moka Express, but I had been wanting the 18 cup monster for quite a while. I was surprised that the box wasn't sealed and the Bialetti tissue was kind of askew. No worries I though as I unboxed to get this beaut cleaned up and ready to roll. Everything looks good except for the end of the funnel - my other Moka Express makers have a nice rolled yet round bottom. This one is rough, sharp, and slightly crushed on one side (See photo). Makes me wonder if the Bialetti Store on Amazon is selling seconds or refurbs without notifying us. I am going to run some coffee-less brews (as instructed) then a few trash runs to insure all is working well, but I am skeptical and disappointed. I will update after.

First brew success
I purchased the large brewer so I could fill my Yeti cup. Worked like a charm. Nice brew, easy to use and not too hard to clean. The real accomplishment will be to figure out the right bean but looking forward to the quest. This is a very nice brewer.

Really good coffee
I was thrilled to find this larger sized moka stovetop coffee pot. It takes up zero counter space and lasts for years. It makes delicious espresso coffee. I put a little Vaseline around the threads connecting the top pot to the base pot to help keep it water sealed and metal loves oil. Don’t grab the filter by the stem to knock out the used coffee grinds or you will knock the filter off of its stem in no time. Always grab the filter round top to knock out the used grinds against the side of your trash bin. You will have to use steel wool to clean this pot especially on the bottom. I use olive oil and 0000 steel wool to scrub off the burn marks from my gas stove. It’s very simple to keep these pots clean and going for years. No wonder why they have been so ever popular. I don’t like weak coffee from machines. You can put as much or as little coffee grinds in this. I make fresh ground coffee from whole beans and use a little tamper to pack down in as many as the filter will hold. I get lots of compliments on my coffee and you will too.

Fantastic Espresso Maker
this is a fantastic espresso pot, I needed something bigger than my 8 cup bialetti maker(which is absolutely amazing as well…. but sometimes you need a bigger pot, when you entertain etc) these things will last you for the rest of your life!! they’re built extremely well(you only need to replace gaskets every couple years) I am now a Bialetti fan for life! (you will be too, once you try one of these) paired with a proper burr grinder and your off to the races

This product is excellent. The coffee is consistently good and the stove top can be used on any hot plate either gas or electric. So simple to use and clean which cannot be said for some of the other coffee makers on the market. It also takes up considerably less space in the kitchen and we take another in the caravan when we are touring as a fresh cup is always available wherever we are even on route using the gas. There is little to break down or fail and we would not want to be without this excellent piece of equipment. If you like "proper coffee" it is highly recommended

Five stars for the coffee it produces - even without a handle
We have used a succession of Bialetti coffee makers, as they produce great coffee, provided one chooses the right 'miscela' and darkness of roast for one's taste. Over the years, though, they have become less robust, with the handle breaking off after about a couple of years due to the pressure exerted to separate the two halves. They are still usable, with an oven gloves, but at the risk of burning one's hand and of misdirecting the flow of coffee into the cup. As Neapolitans, we were surprised that people use it for a heart-stopping mug-size cup, and are then disappointed at getting just four or five cupfuls out of it. Amazon's presentation could be clearer: the same photograph of a squat 3-cup pot is used for all versions, whereas an 18-cup model is quite a different shape, so that one wonders if one has made the right choice.

18 cup version is HUGE.
It might seem an obvious statement but the 18 cup version is absolutely HUGE and just about fits on the hob plate. So far I am very pleased with its performance.

Delicious coffee, every time
I've used this daily now for a month, and no problems at all: it makes reliable, delicious coffee each time. '18 cup' refers to espresso cups, of course - that's about 3 mugs if you take your coffee by the bucket; and the care guide clearly says not to use the handle to undo/tighten the two parts - so if you follow this advice, no problems with broken handles. Had no problems with cleaning and drying, and the seal has been good so far; I assume one day I will need to replace the rubber ring, but having looked online, it seems this shouldn't be a problem to do. Very happy.
