Be cautious - trouble with batteries and service
I bought this to replace my 13 year old, still running Dewalt drill. I thought this Bosch set was going to be a huge upgrade. When it runs, it's good. BUT - one battery was dead on arrival. I contacted Bosch for a replacement and they said they would ship one to arrive in 3-4 days, but nothing shows up, and 8 days later they get back to me and say it's indefinitely backordered. I ask for a replacement of another compatible size and they just say they'll monitor the backorder. They have no ETA on a replacement. I have a 2-tool set with only ONE working battery, and I never got ANY use out of the other battery. Bosch, your quality control is poor, and your inability to replace a simple battery, WHEN YOU ADVERTISE HOW GREAT YOUR BATTERY WARRANTY AND REPLACEMENT POLICY IS, is unacceptable. Besides that their warranty registration website wasn't working and I had to call in all the details. But mostly I just want a tool that actually works. I intend to update this when the issue is resolved, or if it never gets resolved. But for now I cannot recommend anything Bosch. Edit - November 11 - still on indefinite backorder, no ETA and no offer of any help besides waiting. Edit - November 15 - a replacement battery showed up yesterday out of the blue, just after CS told me they had no update and no ETA. But the battery I received is incompatible with the charger that came with my kit, so it's just a brick. Still trying to resolve this with CS. Edit - later November - I was able to get the replacement battery to charge, in small steps, by charging it, waiting for an error light, taking it off for an hour and repeating this 5 times. WHAT A HASSLE. But it did finally work. If only Bosch would have just kept the new batteries backwards compatible, OR sent me the proper charger. Edit - April 2020 - the one working original and the replacement battery both still work. I was able to top off the replacement battery in my original charger. The drill and driver are both decent tools with adequate power. Overall this set is now adequate, but I was expecting far better than adequate for the price and brand name. Next time around I'll be looking at other brands. Edit - May 2020. The replacement battery this time will NOT recharge in the original charger. It blinks green for a few seconds then blinks red and stops charging. Repeated cycling isn't changing this. Junk.

Great set but bear in mind there’s no case
I’ve used a similar older brushed Bosch drill pair for about 3 years, but they were stolen and were slightly older than these motors brushless ones. Overall, these brushless and my older brushed drills perform very similarly and the ergonomics are almost indistinguishable. The main benefits that I’ve noticed with these newer brushless drills is that they have clearly longer run time. Now to the details. I’ve mostly bought Bosch tools because of their lithium battery technology, which seems to be some of the best, for this price range. In this regard, this pair and my prior pair of brushed Bosch drills, have an excellent run time on max charge; also, my prior pair had either 1.5 or 2.0 A*hr capacity whereas this brushless pair is packaged with two 4.0 A*hr lithium batteries. As a DIYer, I rarely need to use the second battery. As for the drills themselves, they seem to have a higher speed than my older brushed ones, and when I use them for high load applications, the brushless drills don’t appear to get bogged down as much. The only negative for some, though not for me, is that this set does not come with a case. Personally, this was not a big issue as I keep my drills in a separate waterproof case anyway. Overall, they’re well built and precise tools for almost all uses ... for those building something requiring medical equipment type tolerances look elsewhere. For the vast majority, this is an excellent set

Great Combo Kit for small or large projects.
Just got this tool combo kit in today. I had a few things left to finish on a Renovation, but do I wish I had these tools from the beginning. I was using a Black and Decker 20v impact driver, and a Bostitch 18v drill/driver before these. The Bostitch burned up when I was trying to drive a 3" screw into a metal stud. I used the Bosch drill to finish the job, and it drove it in no issue. Pretty excited about that. The Black and Decker impact driver isn't a bad tool really, its powerful, but it starts to show it's lack of power from using it in a construction type environment vs a very small home project. Enter the Bosch impact driver... This thing drove everything I threw at it today. With no issues. I even got the 1/2 Bosch impact socket set, and it popped the lug nuts off my Honda Civic. I'm pretty sure it isn't meant to be used for this purpose, but I couldn't resist trying. Its a very powerful impact driver. I couldn't be happier with this combo tool kit. I'm sure it'll last for years to come. The shipper also packaged this up neatly and sent it out promptly.

Its a Bosch
I had a Bosch Drill that I got in 2008. Still works great, but I wanted to hand it down and get something new and better. Also wanted a Impact Driver. This is a great product. As a home user I don't always use these things on a daily basis. Maybe if I did I might give different marks, but can't think of a reason why. Good power, comfortable, and large batteries. Like it so much I purchased the same Impact Driver for my son.

Can’t beat Bosh!
I couldn’t be happier with this kit. The hammer drill is nice because you can use it as a normal drill for everyday projects or a hammer drill. The dual chuck concept on the impact is also pretty slick. The handles are ergonomic and fit my big hands very well. The balance of the tools is great as well. The charger also has a fan to keep it from getting hot and charges pretty fast.

kind of a dissapointment.
I bought these tools thinking they were the upgrade! After using my impact driver a few times the throttle would stick and that made it difficult to use. The drill has that anti-rip your hands apart feature which you think would be nice but it's so sensitive you can't drill a hole without the drill shutting down 4 or 5 times before you punch through the hole. Unfortunately for me I try to use my fancy expensive Bosch tools but my Ryobi are there when I just can't take it anymore.

The impact driver works like a charm
The impact driver works like a charm. I’ve used it to hang a good number of sheets of plywood and haven’t had to charge the battery at all. The light placement is also set well, it doesn’t get blocked by your hand when in use.
