Ok so I ordered the wrong rings, but at least they were OEM B & S. Here’s your pro tip of the day. Get the model number off your B & S motor and get the right parts the first time. Most sellers will have the model number as a six digit number in the listing. The model, type and code will be on a tag on the sheet metal. This can be on the pull mechanism, heat shroud etc. My motor is from the 70’s and it was stamped on the pull mechanism and I had to sand it for several minutes before I could read it.

Great rings

Use the proper tools when installing. I snapped the compression ring by trying to poke it in the cylinder with a screwdriver. Ordered another set and installed them. No more blue smoke and the B&G is running great in my Tote Gote.
