Dogs love it

I got both of the wands (bolt and star) for our two dogs. They function the same way, so it’s really your choice on whether you want to be the magic treat fairy or god of thunder treat fairy. The pups will be happy and equally focused on the wand either way! We used these wands for entertainment purposes only since our dogs are older and already trained. I think I would get a lot more use from them if they were still training, because I can see it being a handy way to reward dogs. But they are fun and come at a really great price, so even if you don’t use them a ton, you and your fur family will still get some good cheap entertainment.

A great way to keep your treats handy!

I have a newly adopted rescue dog who is working on training. The Magic Wand gets him excited to "sit" when he sees it. Easy to use and small enough to keep tucked away for on the spot behavior training.

Super Fun Training Toy!

We are finding lots of ways to get some training done using this wand. After only a week, our dogs (and even our cats!) have learned to follow the wand for simple commands like sit, stay, down, and come. Super intuitive and easy to use.

Fun way to give treats

This is a fun way to give the dog treats. Depending on the treat, some get stuck and others come out several at a time when shaken … it’s a fun guessing game as to how many will come out at once. We aren’t using it for training, so the precision isn’t as important as if we were using it as a reward, although we reinforce “sit” and “stay” when using this. So maybe we are training!

Great way for a little kids to give treats to dogs

This wand is just darling to look at. It is bright and cheerful, seems very durable. It was very easy to load the treats in. They are dispensed by you making a flicking arm movement that pushes the treats through a window on the star that is covered with a small silicone flap. It took me a little practice to figure out how much force to use to get the treats to pop out. I had hoped to have more control over the treat dispensing. Because you need to flick it with some force to get the treats to come out of the hole in the star, they tend to fly out randomly. My dogs are thrilled with this, but it would not make it particularly helpful while, for example, trying to keep them close to me on a walk. I am planning to keep this around for any children who are visiting. It should be a nice introductory game with the kids as it will allow them to be giving the dogs treats without getting their fingers too close to puppy mouths. And I would expect the magic wand itself will be exciting to younger kids. I’m pleased with this, even though ultimately I will be using it for a different purpose that I intended.
