I’ll start off by saying my dog has a 15” neck and uses a martingale style collar regularly. This collar is meant for neck sizes 13-18” so it should’ve been a perfect fit. When we received the collar I was pleased with the craftsmanship and material. Once I put it on my dog I was bummed. I had it on the tightest setting and it was still too big to be functional. The martingale section is supposed to cinch tight to the neck when pulled, but there’s so much slack that it tightens all the way and both ends meet, so...no grip. Even when cinched I can slide it off. The smallest it gets (not cinched) is over 18”. I have a retired racing greyhound so it’s a big deal if he slips out of a collar outdoors. It looks nice and all, but for us it’s near useless.
