Could have been a great light but it is flawed

This light fixture would earn 5 stars from me for looks alone if the two I'd purchased didn't both arrive broken in exactly the same way. Well, they aren't broken, exactly, more like poorly made. Here's what the problem was with both fixtures... there are two screws that hold the sleeve for each bulb in place. The screws are tiny. In two of the three bulb sleeves the screws are in nice and tight and the sleeve is stable. On the third sleeve the screws are out. The screws were in the box so I figured I would just screw them back in. Ah, there's the rub.... the holes that the screws go into on that sleeve are too large so the screws don't grip. If this had only happened on one of the lights I would have purchased a larger screw and called it a day, but the fact that two of these arrived with the exact same problem made me wonder whether the screws on the other sleeves were likely to give way. I think it might just be a design flaw. I've read reviews of this fixture that say it throws a good amount of light. I must have a different idea of bright light because to my mind this is more like wall washer light... great for highlighting something on the wall but not so good at lighting a room. The sleeves do swivel so you can direct the light (except of course for the sleeve that had the screw problems.... that light just flops around) which is a really nice feature. I will be returning both of these because of the screw problem, unfortunately. I really like the concept. I have purchased another similar fixture from the same company which isn't engineered the same way so there are no pesky screw problems. That one I will be keeping. BOTTOM LINE: Attractive light, not bright enough to light an entire room well. Better for highlighting. Beware that both of the ones I purchased were essentially defective and had to be returned.

Looks Awesome

This is a very nice light, two things I didn't think of before buying, 1. That I would need light bulbs for it. 2. How bright it would be. I mounted this in my Living/theater room and after running to home depot to buy light bulbs that it was way to bright to be directing the bulbs anywhere but down. I have it mounted in the corner of the room so it was limited what I could do with it aimed one at a wall the other two straight down. With all that being said I would buy this light again if I had a spot for it, great finish look and awesome light. GU-10 is the bulb you need with this light so be sure to order those in 50w if you don't want to have to run to the store when it arrives. I'm not complaining about the bulbs I should have known DOH!

We use this light fixture in a bathroom. It's heavy, well made, and looks a lot more high end than it is. It installs easily and works wonderfully at generally brightening a small space. Because each light can be aimed independently, it's equally great for task lighting. One issue to consider is that standard 50 watt-equivalent halogens get very hot; if you're buying it for a work light and intend to aim all three at the same spot, it's probably going to get uncomfortable pretty fast. For our purpose, it's ideal, and we feel it was a bargain at under $35. (We bought it through Warehouse but other than the packaging looking a bit dented, it was in perfect shape.)

I don't love the light they give off

Looks a bit cheap IRL- also, and this might be my naivete, they are hot as hell. I don't love the light they give off, its very harsh and very hard to point them in a way where you don't get a bright shot to eyeball.

See clearly in the hallway

This is perfect for our back hallway. Instead of leaving all the rooms lights on, we turn this on and move the lights so that they shine into various areas. I enjoy going to the back of the house now -- everything is much more bright and cheery !

Perfect light for many different spaces

This light fixture is very beautiful and bright. I love it. i purchased this for a larger closet and it is almost to pretty for that. I decided to buy 5 more and replace those ugly, cheap looking dome lights in the hallway and laundry. Shipping was fast and packaging great. Thank you !

Reasonable Price, Modern Look

The light looks fantastic and provides directional lighting that I needed to highlight features of my room. Look around, you could easily pay 3 times as much for a similar fixture.

It looks nice and really bright. But even after we tighten all the screws, it still feel like it could be moved around a bit. But otherwise, functional great.

Had trouble getting the outside décor ring to stay on one of the bulbs but it works fine. I wish I would have known though that it doesn't use regular bulbs. That was a pain finding bulbs with the two prong plugin end. Perhaps the pictures could show that also so a person would know in advance that they need to buy totally different kinds of bulbs.

Good product but poorly packed...

It's what I expected but the product was poorly packed - to say it the least - as a result there's a minor dent on the metallic plate. Very disappointed and I haven't heard from the supplier about the second unit I purchased.
