The E Series jazz shoe from Capezio features a soft and flexible leather upper that molds perfectly to your foot's shape. Stretch fabric wraps around your arch and the sides of your foot for support and custom fitting. The split sole includes a textured design that offers traction on any surface. The perfect basic for any jazz session. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.Note-This shoe is to fit very snug as it is meant to stretch.

Good for dance, okay quality
Fist dance shoes I’ve owned. They fit well & were stretchy, did the job well. Bottom material started wearing off as I used them. Not sure if that’s normal or just a quality issue, but would recommend.

Comfortable.
Nice and snugg fitting. Love the way they look. Not good for walking on wet grass because it'll go right through the center area, but otherwise my current favorite pair of shoes for when I'm not working. I would avoid them if you have wider feet, but in my case they are great. The soles are a bit hard and will slip on smooth, hard surfaces like kitchen floors, but that's the case with a lot of shoes like this. Keep in mind, I've only had them for a short time, but I can be quite hard on my shoes, and they are holding up perfectly so far.

Dance shoes not wide enough!
Shoes are made with good quality materials but I ordered a 7 wide width for my daughter and she complains that they are still tight around her foot. The length is just right but wish they were wider. I just had her put them on everyday to try and stretch them out before her dance class starts next week. Let's see if it works!

Runs very small.
These shoes run very small. They seem to be made well unfortunately I had to send them back and order another size.

Too small ????
I’m a size 6 wide in street shoe. First I got the 6, but they were way too tight. I exchanged them for a 6 1/2. They weren’t bad at first, but I’ve only had them a month and have maybe used them 5+ times. I’ve worn very thin socks with them. The big toe is already wearing through the top of the shoe, and it looks like it’s going to form a hole sooner than later. I missed the return/exchange by a few weeks because I haven’t used them. I like the weight, flexibility, color, and overall shape. I’ve just never had an issue with a dance shoe wearing like this less than 1 months in.

Runs small
I bought these for myself. I wear a size 7.5-8 street shoe. Based on the size chart, these should have fit. Sadly, they were far too tight. I gave them to my daughter who wears a size 6. Perfect fit! I like the shoe itself. It is well made and has some arch support, unlike other jazz shoes with no arch support.

Very small - go up at least a size, if not more
The verdict is still out for these. Appear to be well made, but are VERY small. Daughter is a 10 (I'm a 10 too, but she has smaller feet), I ordered a size up, and the 11's were still tight (toes still curled a little to fit). I've ordered an 11.5, and will see if they work.

Wrong size
The shoes are really nice but unfortunately I have worn them a couple of times to try and stretch them as know they are a very snug fit and did buy a size higher than my usual shoe size but im sure they are the wrong size and cannot seem to find the size anywhere on the shoe.??

Well-made, a bit small for my feet
I have been taking Ukrainian dance classes since the end of October 2019. I needed jazz shoes, so we tried Kijiji. Those ended up being too small, and when I tried to stretch them with water, the insole fell out on the heel of one. I needed jazz shoes, and after researching, these seemed like a pretty good option. I'm about a size 9 street, so I took Capezio's advice and I got a size 9 wide. I have pretty wide feet and, honestly, these caused strain on the shoe and pain when I wore them for the first while. However, the lace up ones had a big gap between my ankle area and the shoe, which made them feel loose around the heel. I don't think I'll be buying those ones again. Most sources I've seen say that after a few wears, these shoes will be stretched. I've had mine for two months tomorrow, and one of the shoes still isn't stretched enough to be completely comfortable. I take a 1 hour class weekly and I often practice at home. I don't know why, but the left one is really well stretched. The right one is still a bit tight. I think it might be because I often use my left foot for turns. On another note, the sizing was pretty accurate. I might go half a size up next time (if I buy them again, and frankly, I probably will because I love these shoes.) for optimum comfort, but I don't know. The elastic is holding up really well, and the bottoms aren't too worn out yet, so these could last me for a while. The shoes have a nice build and are pretty comfortable to wear once they're stretched to your foot. I love these shoes even if the leather is a bit tight (For now! They'll stretch eventually!). I would definitely recommend them! Also, because they're slip-on, you can just slide them on, so really convenient.
