Like wearing a sock! Stretch canvas hugs your foot and leaves no gaps. Low profile, split sole, with an eva heel for durability and suede forefoot for traction and turns. Child through adult so put your whole team in them! Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

Matched street shoe size
It was tough finding jazz shoes this summer. They were out of stock at Bloch and Capezio and another pair I ordered from Capezio got cancelled so Amazon to the rescue and I was able to order these and a leather pair by Capezio and my daughter who has wide feet preferred these. She said they hugged her feet like socks and they have thicker heels than other jazz shoes. Thankfully these worked out. Not sure if they will last longer than leather, but they’re comfortable and probably washable!

Sized too small
I wear a 12 slim(skinnier than natrow) in women's and tried three different sizes. 12 was too small. 13 was still tight on my big toe. Exchanged for a 13.5, which then costed $8 extra..... fit my toes perfect, but at that size the width became larger so it's not as snug around my foot....

Not wide but good quality
I ordered wide but they were no where near wide enough. I put a 22 ounce coke bottle inside them for 48 hours and it still takes me and her both to get them on her feet. Also went by size guide and what reviews said. She wear a youth size 3 street shoe and ordered a 6 wide. They are about 2 sizes too long and nowhere near long enough. Quality is real good though. I ended up getting her So Danica ones in a 4 and width c and they work so much better and have alot more stretch for wide feet.

My Fave Practice Shoes for Clogging or Tap Class
Very comfortable, great quality shoes. I recommend without hesitation. Only thing to be aware of is the size. I’m normally a size 8 but bought a 9W based on other reviews I read and knowing I need wide shoes. Fit perfectly so maybe you need to size up? I wear regular thickness socks with mine. I normally dance for at least an hour and my feet are quite comfortable in them. I was wearing ballet flats before and my toes would hurt and some areas were pink which is what prompted my search for these shoes. You’ll love these shoes and the price is reasonable as well.

Size too small
The shoe very small for the ordered shoe size. I ordered 9.5 but it looks like a 5.5. I am returning it because it doesn’t fit at all. The quality is great though but not as flexible as I thought it was.

Love canvas but...
I love this shoes but I did only give it so many start because of the sizing. You should go up a size I ordered my street shoe size and when the arrived they where tight .but I do like my shoes a bit tighter because they will stretch .(at least my dance shoes anyway.) Other than that it's a nice shoes nice padding on ball of foot for turns ,heel is a bit slick for just across the floor but otherwise nice jazz shoe.

Old boys dance too!
As an 82year-old male wannabe ballet dancer (actually just trying to get rid of my tum), I wanted some shoes so I wouldn't kill myself of the dance floor. I bought these because I couldn't get any men's shoes that I thought would do the job. My men's size plus 2 gave me the women's size. The shoes fit just fine without socks and so I'm off to the next lesson. Turn over in your grave, Nureyev. Let me at it!
