If you're looking for barely-there comfort while you're dancing, then Capezio's Footundeez are just the ticket. Made from a four-way stretch fabric, the half-shoe pulls right on through your toes for a custom fit. Suede sole patches make gliding and turning a cinch. Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes. The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance. Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

Very nice.
These are more expensive than I thought they should be, but when compared to cheaper brands, these stay on your feet!! They don’t cut into your toes, and the pads on the bottom are placed perfectly on the ball of the foot. Good for turning!

As close to being barefoot as I've found in a dance shoe
I want to preface this by saying that I'm a yogi/dancer in my 20's, with absolutely no foot or ankle problems. If anything my feet are pretty strong. If you have foot or ankle problems you should know that this won't add much support, just the tiniest bit of padding I adored this product. I ordered my very first dance shoe 2 weeks ago (I typically dance barefoot) because I had a weekend of dancing (about 18 hours on hardwood) ahead of me with a new teacher who is notorious for her format being more difficult then anyone else's. When I first slipped the footUndeez on, I had to rip a seam or two to get them to fit comfortably on my feet. No big. I wasn't buying them for looks. I ended up wearing my footUndeez all weekend aside from the mat warm up (they slipped like crazy on my yoga mat). My feet generally start hurting after walking in relevé for a while but even after 2 hours, my feet felt the same as they did when I started. My feet were saved! Good thing too because we were up in relevé again after lunch. These dance shoes are not made to last. I estimate that they have about a 50 hour (on hardwood) life. If you, unlike me, are a gentle stepper, I'm sure you can get more hours out of them.

Great product but...
I love these footundies there very comfortable and provide the perfect amount of support when trying to do turns on the Dance Floor. I bought the use so that I wouldn't get blisters after long days of practice and they seem to be really nice. My only problem with them is that they have a thinner material on them and they feel like they may not last a super long time. So for that reason and that reason only I feel like they're a little bit overpriced. Other than that incredible and do exactly what I was hoping they would do. I wear size 7 shoes for reference and I got a pair of Smalls they fit perfectly.

Good Product for what they are, Could be made out of better materials, Defintely over-priced by at least $8
I bought these for a friend after one of my dogs devoured her other pair. She is a dancer and dance teacher and uses them often. She prefers this brand to the others available on Amazon and says they work well for her. From what she says they do have a tendency to wear out/break down faster than she would like, but that may just be from the heavy use and the nature of this type of product. From all accounts these are great for dancers and come highly recommended. I will say that the price is a little on the steep side for what they are, there's not much material that goes in to making these and the materials aren't the very best quality. They just don't last as long as they should or would if better materials were used. For those reasons I feel that they should be priced somewhere around $10-$12 at most, certainly not $20. All in all good product, not great or the best, and they are definitely over-priced.

I love them (14 years dance experience in ballet, hip hop and jazz)
I would consider buying them again at first a little hard to turn in slip off a little but it's fine once you break them in they tend not to slip off anymore. I do not reccomend dancing on carpet or rug with them because they will slip off if not come off. Teaches you not to turn on your toes so much but still to keep a good high releve. They are better than the half sole lyrical shoes those are a bit uncomfortable for my foot structure but to each its own. I am a size 6 in street shoes the petite fit me just fine. Hopes this helps, good luck. P.S if you aren't used to dancing barefoot or tend to turn on your toes(feeling the either big or little toe drag on the floor) I do suggest wearing them inside your dance shoe to roughen it up a bit also to know your placement of how you turn. If your foot (mainly toes) gets a little sore from the first week or so its normal you can tape your toes to get a bit more traction till you get the feel of the floor not rubbing and hurting them, but we are dancers most of us fight through the pain.

Perfect!!
I’m a ladies size 7 and I got a large and they fit really nicely! Not too tight and definitely not baggy - nice padding on the ball of the foot as well :)

Great foot thongs
My daughter loves these for dance. I think we are on the third pair now,! They last really well, are comfortable and work well. I think they come on the small size, so I think we tend to size up.

Not overly durable
My daughter has gone through 3 pairs of these this dance season. She's a competitive dancer. They fit well. My complaint is that on all 3 of her pairs, and on several of her friends, the foot pads seem to come unstitched. That's always what falls apart. For the price, and how tiny they are, I wish they were made more durable.
