Perfect for the cold
Working in a semi-outside environment, I needed something to keep my legs warm without compromising agility or looks. These base layer pants did just that. They were slightly baggy, which I like. They kept me warm and even provided an extra comfort which kneeling, kinda like a thin kneepad. If cold weather decides to come again, I may need to buy a second pair.

meh quality
think they are phoning these in in terms of the quality and value that Carhartt used to be. it will do its job but i dont think it does it as well as in the past...wont last as long...and certainly costs alot more

Not bad
Definitely not the warmest “ Long John“ that I’ve bought. Definitely not bad for everyday wear

Not As Warm As You'd Think
For being Carhartt, I expected this to meet my standards for Carhartt (Which are high because of the quality of this brand) These are comfortable and fit just fine however, I have WAY cheaper NON name brand thermals that are extremely more warm than these are. I will not be taking these to the snow. Kinda disappointed.

Just an OK product
One of the few misses on a Carhartt product that I have purchased, and the reasons are surprising to me. 1. The item is not true to size. I am a tall man, and very typically Carhartt Tall sizes hit the mark. On this particular item, it almost doesn't seem like they are not any longer than typical long johns. They only barely cover my entire calf. They should come down another 2 or 3 inches to bring them into the ankle range. I am still giving them 3 stars, because they are pretty high quality. However, and as I stated, they just don't hit the mark for me. If you were a normal height person, these could actually be the perfect item. Buy the Tall size and they will fit like a glove. If you are a taller person, you should look towards Carhartt's heavy duty version of long underwear (as I have and love them from the brand, though they are very expensive), or possibly at other brands that you already trust. 2. The problems of number 1 above are exacerbated by my second issue, which is the leg openings do not have any substantial elastic band at the bottom to keep the legs in place. I suspect that this is by design, but due to them already being slightly too short for a tall person, they end up ridding up your leg causing you to constantly have to pull them down. In practice, I have resorted to wearing boot length (read country western boot length) sock with a strong elastic top band, while tucking the bottoms of the legs into the socks. Maybe this was always the intent for layering purposes, and if that is what you were looking for these might be perfect for you. I am not a fan though.
