Lasts about a year
These mitts last about a year, 3 days a week in a restaurant kitchen where everything is made from scratch, no microwave oven in sight. Cleaning is an issue as the choice is sponging off the worst grime only...As most entrees are cooked at 425-450 these mitts are great. When the neoprene type surface starts to deteriorate we replace the mitts.

Best mitt ever
The neoprene is great for keeping you safe from liquid or grease. I'll always have these oven mitts in my kitchen!

Can't get a grip
I tested this out on my hand and find it would be very difficult to grip with as opposed to a regular style mitt.

From Great to Garbage in 10 months.
I purchased two of these less than one year ago. They were as "heat resistant" as advertised - hot pan handles, trays straight from the oven, were entirely safe to handle. That said, I didn't try using them for anything crazy: just the usual hot pan handles and oven-hot trays. That is to say, the sort of stuff you traditionally use oven mitts for. That said, in less than a year, on *both* of these mitts: (1) The insulation from the thumb started to crack and come off. (2) The insulation along the "hand" part of the mitt seems to have sort of melted. On both mitts. Now, whenever I use it for anything, the moment the plastic insulation gets warm it emits nasty fumes. I had to throw away both of these in less than a year.

Falling apart
As other reviews have mentioned, the black insulating material on the outside of the mitt has started tearing and falling off. Disappointing. Also, the magnet is barely strong enough to stick to a metal surface and will not support the weight of the mitt. Useless. When I was a kid, my mother had a potholder with a magnet sewn in it and you could toss that thing at the refrigerator like a frisbee and 9 times out of 10 it would stick to the refrigerator. This mitt won't stick no matter how carefully you try to stick it to a metal surface. I guess this isn't the mitt I'm looking for.

Hot . . hot . . . hot
We love making Dutch Babies in our oven. But the temp. has to be 425° and many of my oven mitts burned though. These are perfect for those hot dishes. They come up high on the arm so you will not burn your wrists. This a a winner!

Swing and a miss...
Honestly, I would not have purchased this glove if I could have tried it on first. The magnet is not strong enough to support the weight of the glove. The glove itself is too large for my hand, heavy and difficult to use. However, it does cover my entire forearm, so it should do an excellent job of protecting me from burns.

Great mitt. Heat resistant
Great mitt. Heat resistant. I haven't done anything crazy with it, but it works great for pots and pans coming out of a 400-ish degree oven.

Magnet doens't work
I primarily bought so I'd be able to stick them to the fridge. There's a magnet, but it doesn't hold the weight of the glove.... Other than that they're nice.

Great quality!
We use this in our commercial kitchen all day. They are great heavy duty mitts!
