Fins, I’m a entire Army Infantry NCO and I’m picky about what watch I wear since it has to be tough. I bought the same model as in this listing but a friend of mine really wanted it so we did a horse trade and I bought a replacement for $182 in the used/renewed category recently. This watch is very comfortable to wear and it very durable and resistant to scratches. I prefer “stand alone” technologies instead of something requiring wi-fi to access its main functions. Always having a back up compass and other features is something I love on these ABC watches. I’m in my mid 50’s and this watch doesn’t look weird or huge on my wrist as some may think. I swapped the OD green wrist band for another OD green wristband I bought off of Amazon, it’s just has a little more heft to it but the original band is perfectly fine. Like most men my age, I prefer an analog watch face with larger dials so it’s easier to read in low or, no light environments or if I’m not wearing my glasses, lol. The lowest price for this model is on Amazon, eBay sells these for around $250-$330 which still isn’t bad but I prefer to look for a cheaper price. Once the inventory of this model are sold out, the prices will climb dramatically on re-sale websites so I suggest you get one….or two now so you can save some money in the long run since the inventory is starting to dry up. Setting and adjusting the watch is simple, the “smart dial” allows for direct time setting instead of spending a lot of time trying to find your own time zone. Next month I’m buying a PRG-650 to add to my collection of Casio Pro Treks since the price is still affordable on Amazon. You will not be disappointed!

Only watch I could find with everything I wanted! Price a bit much though.
What I was looking for in a watch were both 12 and 24 hour time (preferably at the same time), date and day displayed simultaneously with time, some form of energy efficiency (in this case solar), and a good compass. This watch delivers on that and more. My alternative would have been to buy a garmin watch that was even more expensive. I will likely get that in the future, but for now this fits the bill. Have not had it for long, but so far it is great. I can use the barometer to set airplane barometers (it has been spot on). The battery life / solar charging seems good so far. Illumination is fine, though when you first get it I would recommend giving it some sunlight as it has the phosphorescent glowing on the hands and numbers, as well as a backlight. The backlight can be set to manual only or automatic so that you raise your hand and it turns on when in low enough light. The "cutoff" for low light is exactly where I would want it and the light can be set to 1.5 seconds or 3 seconds duration. The watch durability seems better than expected so far. I expect now that it will look brand new for a long time. Have not tested water resistance, but it sure seems water tight so long as you have the crown screwed in (this has a small o-ring seal). Some people are complaining that the accessing of features is complicated. If you READ THE MANUAL and explore one feature at a time, it will become second nature. I was able to get the watch down in about 45 mins or less. The only reason I even mention this is because some fool (Bud) says they're a famous engineer and couldn't figure it out. L O L. The only problem I have with this watch is the price, but as long as it doesn't konk out within 6 years I will be more than happy.

Not as complicated as some are making it out to be.
There are plenty of good reviews explaining the great things about this watch, and you should pay attention to them. The watch is good quality, great looking, and has plenty of features for those of us who live an active lifestyle but don't want/need a computer on our wrist. But mainly, I want to address some of the biggest and most repetitive complaints, because many are just wrong, and some are from people who are just too lazy to spend 5 minutes learning how something works before complaining about it. 1) "The watch is too complicated...setting the time is even difficult." - Yes, this watch is more complicated than a watch that just tells time. Yes, the screw-in crown may be different than what you're used to. You don't set the time with this like you do a normal watch...you tell it what time zone you live in, by making the second hand point at your home time zone, which is displayed on the bezel. 2) "The digital screen is hard to read because the hands are always in the way" - Pushing the lower-left and lower-center buttons simultaneously will move the hands to the 2 o'clock position, leaving the screen viewable...this is in the manual. 3) "There's too much to remember to use every feature on the watch." - I don't know what to say...buy a smart watch? This is an analog watch with a lot of features...yes, it takes time to remember if you're going to use them all (but, let's be real for a second...most of us bought this for a few key features, and aren't using them all. But even if you are, it's not that complicated, just take the time to learn it). 4) "The temperature isn't accurate." - This is true...think about it. The watch is sitting on your wrist and taking the temperature of the air through the sensor on the left side of the case. The air in that area is going to be affected by your body heat. However, in multiple climates, I've tested the watch temperature against the temperature on my phone, and it's within 4 degrees fahrenheit. If you need it to be super accurate, you won't want to rely on it...but if you're looking for a "good idea" of an approximate temperature, the watch is more than adequate. Again, stop buying analog watches and expecting smart watch functions. 5) "The compass/barometer/etc isn't accurate." - Mine are...calibrate yours (instructions in the manual). 6) "The backlight is too bright/makes it hard to read the watch face." - I disagree. Maybe this is something that's changed, but the backlight on my watch makes the face easily readable without being so bright to be distracting. If you're being "blinded" by it I'd have to guess you get in an accident every time you encounter a car with its headlights on. The auto-light feature works great, though admittedly it does require you to move your wrist at a bit of a awkward motion, which should be common sense as you wouldn't want the light activating every time you itch your nose or move your arm. Once you get used to it, it can be a useful feature, but most of the time it's easier and less awkward feeling to just use the button. At the end of the day, this is a high-quality, super accurate and useful multi-feature watch. I primarily rely on mine for the compass, barometer and of course time keeping. Though I don't regularly travel outside of my time zone, I do on occasion, and I've found the world clock to be useful and simple. I spend a lot of time outdoors, hiking and hunting. Though I carry a compass and map in my pack, I prefer to have the compass on my wrist once I have my bearings, and this one never lets me down. It's simple to read, quick to activate, and is spot-on accurate. I use the barometer to gather intel on barometric pressure when I'm hunting or doing long-distance shooting. While not a critical piece of information to have unless you need pinpoint accuracy at great distances, it does affect your shot, so I like being able to quickly gather a reading and factor it in.

I love this watch
Most of all, I love the depth to this watch's face, there's a nice 3D space under the glass. Mine only runs ~15 seconds fast every couple of months. The barometer feature has been more useful than I anticipated and the others are fun, even if I don't quite have a need for them. It's not hard to mentally know the time on the opposite coast, but I can watch the hands move to show me it and it brings delight.

Great watch.
Great watch. But product specification tells that bezel is bidirectional. In reality it is stationary. The band does not look durable. It would be smart to sell it with both silicon and cloth bands (actually one model in US coming with two bands). Or at least to sell bands separately. It is not an ordinary one. So I don't know where I can get spare if I need.
