Hottest, most even cooking gas grill I have had.

1st cook, NY strip steaks, this grill cooked all 5 perfectly evenly and very hot for an excellent sear and a perfect medium rare. At this price point and after 5 cooks with it, I'm extraordinarily pleased with this grill. I've even smoked meat in it for 10 hours. Worked great. Assembly instructions weren't great, but if you pay very close attention to the illustrations, you should get it assembled correctly in 2 to 3 hours.

Rating has the potential to be higher.

I am afraid I can't give this product a rating above a three for two specific reasons. One: The instruction are truly horrible. Pay close attention to the leg assembly and the 1-4 dots on each of the legs for proper assembly. Otherwise, the legs are not numbered correctly to correspond with the listings in the instructions. 2: I am always concerned about ordering something that must be shipped in with the potential of the box to be damaged in shipment. This time, I was pleased to find the box was pristine and the way the grill was packed and protected inside the box was great. That's the good news. Upon getting the grill lid completely out there is quite a bit of damage where the enamel coating has chipped or flaked off in six areas along the top rim of the grill. This is majorly disappointing since it means I am stuck with a grill top that will be susceptible to premature rusting because of the exposure of the metal. The odd thing is there were no enamel flakes to be found in the packaging so to me, it looks like it was put in the box in this condition. If there is a replacement or solution to correct this, the rating would be much higher. Once assembled, the grill lit up first time and every time. I look forward to trying out the grate system, just disappointed on the damage to the exterior coating.

Great Grill

Used it for the first time on Sunday, plenty of space for all our asparagus burgers, and hotdogs easy to clean, love ghe removable tray for easy cleaning. Took to hours to put together, would have been less time if I didn’t spend time looking for the screws I dropped in the grass.

Very difficult to assemble

This is very nice product. The assembly however, was a nightmare. It took 3 hours for me and husband to assemble and the instructions were extremely frustrating. I’m not as mad about the long drawn out process as I am with the instructions ???? If there was one area of improvement that this company improves it should definitely be instructions. The instructions do state that some parts will differ but the process should remain the same. I think the best way to remedy this problem would be to make individual instructions for each grill that they sell. Assembling aside, (especially because this is a one time ordeal) this is a lovely grill and totally worth the money.

Following the instructions, take your time, and you'll be fine...

Received the grill today, and put it together in less than two hours. Some people have stated that assembling the grill is difficult, but if you lay all the pieces out, familiarize yourself with everything, and then take your time you'll get through it as the instructions are well enough written. One suggestion, however: closely look at the diagrams, as some of the pieces look very similar. I rarely have issues assembling things (I actually enjoy doing these types of projects), but I had one section incorrect and had to go back and fix it. It was a minor issue, but I wasn't paying attention and, as a result, I got it wrong. Again, however, you'll be fine if you simply take your time...

Appears reasonably well made. Assembly directions are very poor.

Diagrams for assembly are very basic, require close study and some trial/error to get it right. No written directions, diagrams only. Has many parts, not labeled. Some are near identical but have critical differences. The package of screws labels the different sizes/purposes, but don’t correspond with diagram. I’m very mechanically inclined, but had to really study the small nuances to figure it out. Pretty frustrating! Good luck

Great grill

This grill comes unassembled in a good sized box, however two ppl can easily move it. Assembly took a bit of time, but it's BRAND NEW, not left out in the rain for months in a parking lot. The two best features of the grill are it does not flare up, just like Charbroil advertises, and the flavor is amazing!!! It keeps a nice steady temperature even when windy. Cons: it has to be assembled, however that's only once. I wish the tank fit a little better underneath. Overall, this grill is definitely worth the price!!!

amazing grill plus some extras I didnt know about

I found this grill on sale for almost half off. I have had the older version for about 8 or more years now. I like the new version so far. I have not had a chance to turn it on and see what kind of temp it can reach since it is the beginning of winter here. but the assembly was easy. only need a screwdriver to put it together and it took me about two hours maybe less I wasnt really watching time. I was surprised however that it came with a stainless steel cooking vegetable tray that sits nice in the top grates and a stainless steel wood smoke box. I havent read to see if it said they were included but it was a nice surprise none the less and they seem to be good quality steel as well. over all so far I look forward to enjoying this grill for many years to come.
