Great Raincoat. Comfortable and waterproof.
The generous cut leaves room for layers underneath, yet is still comfortable. Order the size shirt you normally wear, don't upsize. The material has a nice feel to it, not plastic, and seems durable. The fabric does make some crinkle/rustle noise when you move your arms around, but not badly. The zipper works fine, but I wish it was a double zipper so I could zip up from the bottom. VERY waterproof, won't soak through even on a long walk. Even though the fabric is somewhat breathable, this is a raincoat and you'll get sweaty if you wear it in warm weather. The hood fits well, and there's a loop to tie back the hood if you want. The side zipper pockets are fairly large, and there's a large zippered inside pocket. Overall, I'm very happy with this jacket and would recommend it to others.

Fine, with a few flaws.
While I do enjoy this jacket: Nylon outer shell; inner sleeve with taffeta lining; mesh lining throughout the body of the jacket, so you stay breezy in warmer climates, versus having a fabric lining - cotton, polyester, a blend, wool, down, etc. - that pretty much acts as another layer of clothing, best for the winter; hand pockets - very handy - and inner left chest pocket. There are some flaws that might irritate some: all zippers easily get stuck by pulling fabric into the track as it slides up - be careful when zipping; elastic wrist cuff has velcro closure, which may fill with lint or begin to fray, reducing effectiveness; or the middle layer of fabric - the membrane - begins to dry, crumble, and flake. I didn't realise that I was NOT supposed to machine-dry the jacket, and after several occasions of drying, the flaking occurred. It was so bad that I had to open the underarm - armpit - zippers, flip the jacket inside-out through that very zipper - I fortunately figured out how to reinsert the jacket and pull it back through the zipper - and pull as much of that membrane out ad possible. This is a really bad problem as it also sheds the flakes through the mesh lining as well, and only early this year has the shedding decreased since the pulling out of the membrane toward the end of last year during the Hurricanes Marco and Laura here in Louisiana. Again, this is a really nice jacket, minus the weakness of the fabric for the membrane, so...be warned. The only issue I have with this jacket is the last one. The second issue was never the case for me and the first issue is one I can deal with.

Great light windbreaker/rain jacket
Who's looking for a great light jacket? If that is you---then the Nor'easter Waterproof Rain Jacket will be your choice. I needed a light windbreaker/rain jacket in a 3X. I searched for some time on Amazon and came across this one. Got it and I am completely satisfied with fit. I have worn it for 2 days now in some heavy rain. Works great and wicks moisture very well.

Might be a bit on the big side
Quality is good and like the man says, it's waterproof as I found out one rainy day. I think it runs a bit large. I bought a large (42-ish inch jacket size is what I usually wear) but a medium might have been a better fit. Can't say for sure since I can't compare. If you're a size 40-42, you might want to try it.

sturdy rain gear
I bought this jacket for my husband to wear while working (he's an arborist) so it can be raining one minute, sunny the next.He says it's comfortable, temperature-wise, no matter what the weather. The fabric has stood up to thorns, flying wood chips etc. without tearing. It seems a little large but it should be perfect in winter with several layers underneath. So, waterproof, breathable and sized just about right. Good product.

Perfect for an inexpensive rain jacket
For an inexpensive lightweight rain jacket, it works well.

Sounds like a newspaper
This jacket was so perfect, except the inner material was soooo noisy. Not the lining that touches your skin/clothes - I mean the inner layer that gives the jacket it's thickness. It's crazy noisy!...like someone rattling a newspaper. I kept trying to be okay with it, because everything else about the jacket was perfect. But I couldn't get past the noise that comes from the slightest movements. Not sure how anyone thought that was a good idea to use whatever the material is.

Great for Rain
Live in Vancouver and we get a lot of rain here. This jacket is perfect for rain and is moderately warm. It breathes so its not too hot, but the outer shell definitely keeps the water out. The outer shell is a quality fabric (doesn't feel plastic) but it does the job of keeping you dry. Great jacket.
