Great material

Material is very smooth and great for a long day at work. I had to return and get a size large but now that I got the right fit I'm sure these pants will serve me well for a long time

Not that impressed

The elastic waistband is too loose and the string gets uncomfortable when tied to keep them up. I would've expected better for the price.

Comfy

I like them. The waist band is thicker so very comfy. They were super long when I tried them on but after washing and drying they shrunk up to a good length. I was expecting a leaner look than my baggies but don't care enough for it to matter. The material is thinner so they were cooler at work; however, since they are thinner fabric, more heat transfered through them making me more aware of how hot the hotbox door is when it closes against my leg. No biggie, just an observation. The reason for only 4 stars is because they wrinkle more easily than my others. Oh and the pockets are not the kind where the opening is along the seam. Theses have slanted pockets which makes me wary I may lose items from them.

Gift for a chef and he was happy

Although he didn't try them on Christmas day, we were happy to have this gift for our new family chef. He was happy to receive them as well! Thank you seller for just the right gift for him!!!

hard to find good pants

UPDATE: Purchased pants at medium, fit great. for pants I always purchase 30/32. for these pants I had to purchase one size up. so far, great pants. I'm 6'1. my waist is 30 length 32, said to order small or whatever and I did. length is just short of where it needs to be, right at or above the ankle. the tiniest bit awkward at work. otherwise very good pants. they ride a little high but it doesnt bother me. because they are good pants. will be ordering again one size up.

Ordered 2 pairs of "identical" pants, they arrived in different styles

The pants are great, however I ordered 2 pair and they are slightly different styles. Amazon split the order in 2 as they often do for shipping, but the description on the products was identical.

I honestly don't get the hate

As a professional chef, theese are on par with my more expensive work pants and they fit perfectly! they are pretty lightweight/breathable and super comfy.

Mediocre

Not sure what’s happened to this brand. Used to be great, now everything is mediocre. Cuts are weird and inconsistent, material quality has deteriorated and prices are high. This will be my last chef works purchase ever. I recommend you go elsewhere if you’re serious about decent kitchen clothes.

A sleeker look than the baggy alternative.

I'm 5'10" and 150 lbs, athletic build. My fit for pants is usually 30W 30/31L. It's a good fit. I had the baggy chef works pants before in small and I could really pull the waist band with lots of room, and had to hem the length quite a lot. I expected the same from these pants in the same size. For the most part, I was right. The waistband was not as elastic but there was still a little looseness to it, and the leg was longer (maybe 32). But before I returned it, I remembered reading a review about it shrinking so I took a risk and tossed it in the wash. It shrank just enough for it to fit right. I wear it with my chef coat tucked in and my waist band right around my bellybutton and the leg length is just right.
