Not excellent but not bad either

The jars are substantial. As mentioned in other reviews, there are slight air bubbles, however, I haven't found that this undermines the quality of the product. The reason why this does not get four stars is because the stoppers on the lids are a hard plastic. Thus, they lose their shape once the jar is topped with the lid. As a result, I am not sure what this means in regards to keeping the jar air tight. Yet, this is not a deal breaker for me but may be for someone else. However, I will say that I have stored brown sugar in one of the jars and after several weeks the sugar still has not hardened. Another reason why these jars do not get 5 stars is because when you wash the lids, water gets trapped in the seals. I had to wrap a butter knife in a paper towel and slide it under the lids to soak up the trapped water. It wasn't until after I started filling the jars w/ things like sugar that I noticed sugar clumps and discerned the lids were not completely dry. Aside from the aforementioned the jars are great for pantry storage; or in my case fridge storage as well.

Great canisters...now an inflated price!

These canisters are absolutey beautiful! They are made with very thick glass and the glass lids have a silicone seal, great for food. I ordered 6 sets to transform my pantry. I used all 6 sets and really needed 2 more sets to finish. To my DISSATISFACTION, I realized that right after I received my order, the seller inflated the price from $28 to $71!!! When I ordered, this item was not advertised as on sale so this feels like a price gouge. I am so disappointed.

arrived broken, have doubts about being airtight

PROS: nice heavy base. very unusual, really like the embossed name and date on the front. like that each is quite a bit bigger than the last. would look great in cabinets with glass doors. very good price. CONS: VERY heavy. when they're full, it takes 2 hands to move them. the seal is not rubber; it's plastic. i have serious doubts about any of the canisters being air tight. hard to remove and replace top. i was shocked that one arrived broken; each canister is in its own box, which is in another box, which is in yet another box. looks like the glass was broken at the origin; no way was in broken in transit. whoever packed these was serious about them arriving in good shape. despite they're being so heavy, i would love to keep them. they are just so different from other glass canisters and they would look nice on the counter. i'll have to return tho, and it'll be a real pain to get them all packed up in their boxes again.

Love this set!

I was looking for a set of jars to use as candy jars at home and these are perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Great quality, very sturdy, very nice to look at, great selection of different sizes, all around just very impressive, especially considering how inexpensive they were. I initially bought a different set of jars similar to these on Amazon for twice the amount of money as these, and they were nowhere near the quality of these. Very happy with my purchase!

Very Satisfied! Great Quality!!

This jar canister set is very good quality. The glass is thick enough to be very safe and they seal very well. The tight seal can be a little too tight, but rather too tight than too loose and my food become stale, they have loosened slightly with time for easier opening. Lids are interchangeable and fit each jar. If you like the look don't be afraid to buy because of quality, you won't be disappointed!!

These are good for just about whatever you want to store in them(pastas, flour, sugar etc). Glass has a nice thickness, seal is good. Should last a long time.
