So glad I found these!

So happy I found these. My dogs are constantly jumping up on the windowsill and ripping at the paint chipping it away. With these, my paint is now protected. I combined two to fit my bow window. Don't be alarmed if they are blue! Theres two layers of protective plastic you have to peel away. The first layer comes off very easily. The second I had to pick at with my nails to get a little tear, then I was able to do the rest.

Wish i knew about these sooner

I only sought these out AFTER my dog chewed on the window sill. However the material for these is great and the lip is perfect for preventing any further chewing. I wish it came in white and not just clear so i could hide my chewed on window sill :) I will be purchasing more for windows that are dog accessible to discourage any further damages!

Guard good - sticky dots bad

The guard itself is good, but the sticky dots aren't strong enough and the dog can dislodge the guard easily. I need to find better adhesives.

Nice product but expensive for plastic.

This guard serves as a nice window guard as advertised. It’s important to measure, especially overhang. Wish the fasteners didn’t show through after installation.

Does it’s Job

I bought 2 claw guards for the bedroom windows to protect from the cats. The claw guard did not fit our windowsills, I purchased the largest size and there is still lots of extra space as you can see. So the cats have scratched some of the open areas but overall I think the claw guard has protected our windowsills. Without the claw guards our windowsills would be very scratched up!

Saving Our Window Sills

These definitely help protect the window sills from scratching as our dogs look out the window. I was a little disappointed with the white double-sided adhesive tabs---just hoping for something less noticeable. These don't fully cover the width of the sill and our dogs (medium sized) can reach beyond what the acrylic covers, but based on what I saw before we had these covers, I believe that it is making a difference in the unintentional damage of our eager and curious dogs. One other downside is that small insects and dirt from the dogs' paws get in underneath the acrylic and there's no way to get in there to clean it. I'm going to try using compressed air, which I think may do the trick.
