Left or Right? Seems to be Random

The cable on this extension comes off the plug at about a 45-degree angle, but whether it's to the left or to the right seems (based on others' answers to that question) to be random. The one I received is to the left (looking at it while plugged in), but many say theirs goes to the right. If that's critical for you, you may want to look elsewhere. For me, it wound up not mattering as I had two outlets to choose from, but I still deduct 1 star because you shouldn't have the roll the dice to determine if your plug faces one way or the other. FEATURES: The flat plug is intended to fit into areas where there's not enough space for a normal plug to protrude (in my case, behind a bookcase), and it fulfills this application well. The aforementioned 45-degree connection enables you to plug it into the upper plug of an outlet without having the wire come straight down and thereby block the lower plug, a potentially useful feature. An additional plus is that cord has the third prong for grounding. While this may or may not be necessary depending on what you're plugging into it, it's nice to have that feature in case it's needed. The female end has space for three plugs to go in, and they're reasonably spaced to allow access (two on one side, one on the other). If you're plugging in power adapters with boxes at the plug and grounding prongs, you may only be able to fit two. QUALITY: It seems sturdy and well made. It's UL listed, which is critical for any electrical product (unless you don't mind your house burning down). It fits snugly into the outlet, and plugs going into the female end are also snug. Quality and workmanship seem good: no frays, abrasions, loose fittings, gaps in insulation, etc.

Different Than Photos

This is a decent extension cord, but what I received is very different from the photos on Amazon, and for that matter, different than the photos on the packaging it came with: 1) The plug is of the angled type, going at about a 45 degree angle to the outlet. But the picture shows a plug that would go down and RIGHT, but in fact it goes down and LEFT. Now, for most uses, that might not matter, but for me, it does. I need plugs going down and RIGHT. And now, to be honest, I'm afraid of ordering any extension cord based on looks, because they don't always agree. I'll probably have to go to a rotating one, even though I have no intension of using it that way; I just want it going the /right/ way (in this case RIGHT) 2) The 2 female receptacles on the extension cord are spaced further apart than shown on all the pictures. That's a good thing, for me at least, but it's not as shown. 3) The flat plug shape is quite different than that shown. It's kind of a chopped-off triangle shape, while photos show it generally round. It doesn't have nearly the length of the supporting area of the cord, either. So, they're pretty good, just different than advertised. Now to try to find what I need....

Heavy duty

I got this extension cord to do a specific job; enabling more electrical connections in my yard. The description says it is for medium duty outdoor use. However, the label on the cord says it must be kept away from water, kids, and pets which kinda nullifies its use as an outdoor cord here in North Carolina where it rains more than average. Furthermore, the Product Overview recommends use in the ‘home or office’. It’s well made and edging on the side of heavy-duty so I can and will use it inside but improved clarity in the description would help a lot in selecting the right product for the job. The three connection head makes for a slim design and the loop at the end could be used to hang the cord.

Works great

Used it to run power up to a high ledge in our living room so we could add led strip lights. Works great, and the color blends in with the walls better than a black cable would.

Wish it could turn

I love the flat plug. It fits perfectly beside my bed. I wish I could turn it, though. It locks into the plug, but then the cord is going in the wrong direction. I wish the metal prongs were able to turn, so that I could plug it in and use the entire length of the cord, instead of having to curve the wrong way. However, this is a good-quality cord. Heavy, well-made, and a nice white color that blends with the walls in my apartment. The plugs at the end are a little close together if you wanted to plug in three different things with larger plugs. You might have trouble with that. I use only the two on the end, which works just perfectly for me. Do not plug anything expensive into it, since it isn't a surge protector. It is simply an extension cord.

Not as pictured

This standard 6' extension cord is fine. It looks similar to the photo, but not exactly the same. Mainly, my flat plug cord veers to the left when plugged into a standard (ground-prong down) outlet, not right (as pictured). Also, mine was delivered in a bubble wrap envelope which got somewhat crushed during transit. My cord prongs were bent, and the plastic was scratched up a little. Otherwise, everything seems to work fine. Due to these discrepancies, I'll have to decide if it's worth returning this $6.64 cord or not.

Good, but flat plug in personally always bugs me

Bought it as a "well I'll have it for the one day I suddenly need it. I needed it last Night. Good Quality - no super appliance type of cord fairly short, bu good enough The FLAT/FLUSH PLUG CONCEPT. Seemef great idea NEVER HAPY. the plug is flat on the side showing when plugged up - but the flat part is rather big and octagonally shaped -then the cotd coming out to the extension cord, is designed to come out og the side of the octagone. That whoe set up takes up a lot of room on powerstrip.

Perfect for hard-to-reach area

Bought this for an outlet behind a heavy cupboard. To save my elderly parents from removing contents from the cupboard then pull it out in order to get to the outlet, I use this instead and it works perfectly. This one in particular is good because it has 3 connectors which allows 3-prongs power adapters. Most of these flat plug extensions cord only allow 2-connectors. Overall I like it and if I ever need another one, I will purchase this again.

Good design -- sits flat so the cord doesn't get bent when there's furniture in front of it, and doesn't block the second outlet. Exactly what I needed to plug my stand lamp into an outlet behind my sofa. Shopped around and this is a good price as well.
