????Nice variety of paints. Cleans up nicely. Not just for kids! Keep in cool area. ????
???? I looked carefully to get the best deal for the nicest tempera paints available. ????Yes, I’m a senior citizen and I acknowledge the fact that I am painting instead of working on my motorcycle. Awwww.???? These arrived intact., although late. No leaks. They’re smaller than I thought but a little bit goes a long way. It does! I suggest keeping these bottles standing straight up and not to the side. Make sure to shake them before use. I keep them in a gallon size baggie just to keep the freshness. Try the Amazon brand. No I don’t work for Amazon. I’ve used them without a problem on paper, crafts and even and small wood projects. The idea was to use the tempera paints as it would be cheaper than acrylics.... but in actuality they’re all expensive. I use gloss (Mod Podge) for glossy effect. The paint washes off my hands fine and out of my clothes even after drying. Absolutely no problem with washing this off the floor, hands, clothes or anywhere. A friend said for me get paints and I really didn’t want to. With much hesitance I purchase them and all the stuff that goes with it. It took me a while to open them in etc. He said it would help anxiety. It does. Now I’m really into it. I’m painting everything .... well not everything. It washes off but it stays put as long as you want it. Hint: This is what I did. I hope this helps others that are struggling with painting phobias. I don’t paint well and I never did. I thought my work would be ugly and then I realize nobody had to see it and it really didn’t matter. I am self quarantined anyway and away from my family. And I actually like some of my paintings now. But I don’t think I’ll be showing them off. Well maybe. (funny) My paintings are unique as they appear to look like a four-year-old painted them. But that’s okay. Ahhh. These paints are very relaxing especially with some good Amazon music and a Fire Tablet on the same table. Getting to the point... I placed two tables just for my paint and future projects. “L” shaped. The paper, brushes and chair all there but I wouldn’t do it. I guess I can be stubborn. I bought some wooden stars and other things to decorate and it all just sat there for a while. Finally I just put on some good Amazon tunes and went for it and I am a happy camper. No wonder they like older people to paint! ????Yes, I’m a senior citizen and I acknowledge the fact that I am painting instead of working on my motorcycle. Awwww.???? I’m writing this review in September and I’ve been quarantined since July. Oh my goodness I’m starting to finger paint! Amazon do you sell basket weaving kits??(scary..funny) This paint is a little thin but I found out if I put it near the cold window… Yes I realize it’s summer when I write this yet I live in the north... and this made the paint thicker. I hope that’s helpful to anybody who has thin paint. I also hope this review is helpful to anybody who has craft phobia. I made up that name. Seriously I really do like it now and I’ll be purchasing more crafting things. Miss my motorcycle. Thank you Amazon.com for bringing me into the senior years with Grace and a little bit of stubbornness ????

Good, every day tempura paints
As a preschool teacher/daycare provider I have been using these paints for over a decade (I won’t say how much over). My employer always purchased through discount school supply, but since I am starting my own home childcare I decided to purchase through amazon. Slightly more expensive here, but obviously no shipping fee, so.... Anyway, like I said I’ve been using this brand of paint for years. It’s perfectly fine for everyday childhood art projects, on paper mind you. Don’t try using it on non-porous surfaces; it will dry up and flake off. I’ve used this paint many times for hand print art. The “warm” colors (namely red, brown, and purple) do temporarily stain skin red (well... pink) so don’t use on picture day or anything. This can be true for furniture as well, but I have never had it permanently stain anything. These pigments do not mix very well. I’ve tried making other colors and they don’t usually turn out very pretty. Not a deal breaker, but if it’s an important project I like to make sure I have the correct color straight from the bottle. Making shades with black or white is fine though. Consistency is good, not too thick, not too thin, easily watered down if needed. I like to water it down if using with foam stamps and a tiny bit for easel painting because it can be a tiny bit gloppy. This is mostly because little kids use too much. Careful not to use too much water though or it will wet the paper too much. (Like I said, experience! ????) The seal that you have to remove before using was always a huge, messy, pain in the rear end, but it seems that most of the bottles now have a pull tab- huge upgrade! The white shows up well on dark construction paper, so does the yellow. Not completely opaque, but pretty good. Crayola tempura paints are definitely better, IMO, but they are pricey. Overall, these are good, every day tempura paints.

Easy to clean, daughter loves them!
My 3 year old daughter loves this paint. What a great purchase. As far as washability: every time she paints with these, I give her a white microfiber washcloth to wipe off her brush in between colors. Right after she's done painting, I soak the washcloth for a few minutes and then wring it out and the paint comes out completely every single time. However, the couple of times that I allowed it to dry, it stained and would not come out. So the key to avoiding a stain is rinsing it out immediately. My daughter got a little red paint on our white door frame and I noticed relatively soon afterwards. It wiped off easily with a damp washcloth. I don't know whether it would have stained if it had taken longer to notice it and wipe it off.

Happy I found gluten free paint
Ordered these primarily based on the fact that they are gluten free. Would have given it a 5 star review based on that alone and the fact that its a lot of paint. However, my package arrived with the yellow paint leaking. Top was still secure so I was trying to figure out where the leak was and I noticed its a nice hole in the bottom of the bottle causing it to leak pretty bad.
