Side pockets are poorly designed

I'd rate this 5 stars if not for a hilarious design defect with the side pockets. They are roomy, but extend upwards from the zipper opening instead of downward, so a lot of that space is really useless, and anything put in there is at high risk of falling out (already lost a couple items this way).

Love it

Husband loved this jacket. He doesn’t like big puffy jackets and this one he wears often. If it’s colder, he will layer this with a hoodie or long sleeve.

Always a Great Jacket

Great alternative to Eddie Bauer jackets!

This was the same type of jacket that I purchased from EB, but this was cheaper and I actually like the softshell better. I would buy this again instead of the EB alternative. The only real difference are the cuffs, which are elastic in EB version and velcro on this one.

my teenage son loves it

My son wears this a lot. He hates to wear his down jacket to school in the winter, so he wears this instead. It's wind proof and water proof.

Great jacket, but not for those with long arms

This jacket fit great until the first wash. I didn't put it in the dryer- but the sleeves shrunk slightly making it a tiny bit too small for my husband. Overall, it's a nice jacket and washes well. We've washed it several times since and it hasn't shrunk any further.

Great fit

I'm 5'11" and weigh about 85 kilos and this jacket fits me perfectly through the body. The sleeves have velcro tabs so I can tighten the cuffs to take account of them being just a little bit long, but just a little. I'm so pleased with the cut of this jacket I have 3 of them now. The listing photo for my first colour choice ("Stone Green") makes it look deeper than it actually is. It's more like olive green, by which I mean the colour of an actual olive in the fridge. It has black zippers while other versions have zippers colour-matched to the rest of the jacket (eg this "Carnelian Red") which makes the product look more high-end than when finished with standard black. Made a good excuse for getting the blue one too. My only criticism of this jacket is that the sleeves are lined for wamth with a kind of microfibre that sticks to whatever long-sleeved shirt or sweater you might wear under it and makes it hard to pull the jacket on and tug it off. But the struggle is worth it because the jacket looks so crisp and clean once on, plus it's cut slim enough to look really good worn under an overcoat, a parka or even a blazer.

Great soft shell jacket for winters

The product is genuine Columbia. Very nice material, and good finish. Navy is the best colour. Haven't tried in rain but looks like it's water proof. Check you tube reviews of this jacket seems to be very popular soft shell jacket. For winters in India pairing this jacket with a sweater should suffice unless you live in very high altitudes. Get it on discount. Got it for 3780/- which was much lower than what Columbia was offering in its website.

Great travel jacket

My blood runs hot so a parka to walk from the car to the airport is not necessary. I use this jacket for trips and when I’m working in the office. The jacket is sturdy, repels water and snow, and is excellent in the wind.
