Awesome Snow Pants

Loving ❤ my blue ???? snow pants.???? ❄

First off I love blue ???? it's my favorite color and I wanted a snow pants as the weather man predicted very cold winter and have arthritis in knees I need a pants that will help keep me warm. I have not used it yet and will give an update in the future but I do like that is fully insulated , the 2 side pockets are deep for holding my phone and the zip will keep it secure the wide legs was flexible over a sweatpants and will do good over my boots can't wait for the weatherman prediction to try them out before making a final decision but so far I like the texture, length me being 5ft 3in the length of the XL was good now I must note I got the XL based on wearing a sweatpants and maybe thighs below them to help in avoiding the cold to penertrate my knees and avoid my arthritis pain.

Perfect in Every Way

The first time I put these on, it felt like maybe there was a heat generator built-in (like my electrically heated gloves). And so there is. According to its design, I am the heat generator. Natural body heat radiates outwards from my body, encounters the “breathable” liner, and bounces back at me (kind of like the little survival “space” blankets used by survivalists. The pants have Velcro tightening straps and also belt loops. They are water-resistant, wind-resistant, “breathable” pants with zip closures on the side and rear pockets. The front has the male zipper and snap fasteners. I ride bike through this North Dakota winter. Even at sub-zero temperatures, the pants are comfortably warm as I ride. The title comes from my memory of watching the movie “Mary Poppins.” As a new nanny, she measures the two children who want her to measure herself. The children hold the tape measure for her and she reads her height on the tape: “perfect in every way”—my thought exactly.

Exactly what I was looking for (Motorcycle)

I bought these for an unusual purpose, I wanted something to go over my riding jeans for motorcycle riding in the winter. I've tried lots of insulated riding pants but some regular thermals, riding jeans and these Bugaboo pants and I was warm into the low 30's or high 20's. In the 40's I only needed the jeans and the Bugaboo pants Highly recommend them if you ride in cold weather.

Great fit; missing key features

First, I have to say that these ski pants fit like a glove. I'm 5'-9", 165 pounds, 33-inch waist, 32-inch inseam. Size medium was a perfect and comfortable fit for me. Unfortunately, I returned these pants because they are lacking several key features that are table stakes for anyone who is a regular skier or boarder. Specifically: 1. The pant cuffs can be expanded (which is great), but they use snaps instead of zippers. A key feature of any ski pant is the ability to expand the cuffs so they will fit over your ski boots when your boots are in "walking mode". Although these pants have expandable gussets at the bottom, they are secured with snaps instead of zippers, making them very hard to operate, especially with gloves on. 2. The leg gaiters are not expandable! What's the point of having expandable pantlegs if the gaiters inside of them are not expandable? Quality ski pants allow you to expand both the pantlegs and the gaiter to fit over your ski boots. The gaiters should secure with a long Velcro strip and a bottom clip. With these, you need to bunch the gaiters above your boot when the boot is in "walking mode", which is very uncomfortable. 3. The seat pockets are useless and insecure. Seat pockets are also a table stakes requirement for ski pants so that there is a secure place to carry a wallet. While these pants have seat pockets, they are too shallow for a wallet, the flap is sewn in such a way that it is difficult to insert of remove a wallet and they are secured by two small Velcro tabs, meaning it is easy for a wallet to work it's way out while sitting on a lift or sitting to secure your gear. A deep pocket secured with a zipper and a flap secured by Velcro would be much better. I had high hopes for these pants, but alas, my search continues.

Highly Recommended

Very well made. thick rip-stock outer shell. reflective inner lining. Metal buttons on cuffs. Metal zipper is a welcome change! Extremely warm. Lower leg has plenty of room for ski boots although I use them over knee high mukluks. I ordered a Medium. I'm 6 foot 1 inch tall and the length was fine. I have a 30 inch waist and the fit is good there after adjusting the Velcro tabs.

Great Deal for the Price

I bought these snow pants since they were on sale. They kept me warm and dry during most of my winter activities this year. Great fit and good resistance to cold and dampness. I like how you could adjust the waist for tighter fit when needed and they covered the top of my boots so snow did not get into my boots even while walking through deep snow. Overall a great product at a good price. Wait for these to go on sale before buying them.

Worth every penny!

Very well made! Columbia does it once again. Totally warm, stylish, and super comfortable! Living in Northern Canada winter's are very harsh however all is good with this product. All you need is long johns and these pants for a super warm, comfortable experience. Not heavy, or bulky and very light and well insulated. I have two pairs of these pants in different colors and so very happy! For less than a $100 you can't go wrong. Highly recommended!

Ok, not great

These snow pants are very thick. They keep you warm but I am not sure they are worth paying more for. When I ordered these pants they did not arrive. The package was lost by the delivery people. The. Like three months later a pair showed up at my door. Not the color I ordered but oh well.
