To ensure the size you choose is just right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: for the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the wrist. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.

More features than Marmot Precip or TNF Venture, cheaper, but still has issues
I bought this to replace an expensive but defective Marmot rain jacket in which the laminate started peeling. Idk whether to trust those brands anymore and needed something cheap and quick so I ordered this overnight through Amazon. During its first use, we were on a 2-night trip in the Catskills where it rained, sleeted, snowed, and was super cold throughout. The nice thing is that this is a bit of an upgrade over basic jackets that are lined with mesh and have standard zippers -- this one is more lightweight (it has only the laminate and no mesh so easier to stuff), and the zippers are all sealed, which makes for even more weight and space savings. The jacket easily blocks wind and is great as an outer shell, as should be expected of a rain jacket. On our way out of the trail, it was raining relentlessly. At some point I felt dampness inside the jacket and believe it was a combo of sweat accumulating (these types of jackets/linings aren't the most breathable) and/or a leak in the taped seams. I don't know yet. There is a review here in which a guy hung the jacket in a cold shower and noticed that water was leaking inside -- I'm not certain I ran into this issue, but it's definitely worth investigating. May do the same test and report back. The weather that day was pretty cold (30-35 degrees at lower elevations and rain), and I came out alive. So from that perspective, it kept me safe enough to not get soaked and suffer hypothermia. But for long term use (ie, on a longer backpacking trip and even more extreme conditions), Idk if I'd trust this without more rigorous testing.

It is plastic-like and noisy
Plasticy and noisy. I tried to avoid that but had no luck on line. This coat will do for rain. I haven’t used it yet so I can’t comment on perspiration and venting. It looks decent.

Great, light rain jacket for the cost
Like the way it fits and the sealed zippers. Nothing fancy, but a good rain layer jacket.
