downside of "waterproof"

it took me the longest time to figure out why my feet always start feeling cold and damp when I wear these. One day I took a hard look at what makes them waterproof - the inner liner is impermeable, its like wearing plastic bags on your feet and your natural sweat has no place to go. It took some time, but a pair of scissors solved the problem.
