Columbia Rain Jacket
I like the jacket but the way it was packaged was very poor. A see through bag and holes in it. Worst parcel packaging I’ve ever seen. eBay always packs with integrity. I will not be buying here again anytime soon. Shop eBay!

Sleeves were designed for a Neanderthal knuckle-dragger
It fits very nicely around the chest and mid-section BUT the sleeves were designed for a Neanderthal knuckle-dragger. They hang several inches below my fingertips. I will have to tuck the ends back up under the sleeves and superglue them into place. They must have used a Mountain Silverback gorilla to model the sleeves.

Shake the drizzle off
I like the fit. I'm pretty slim/athletic build. Columbia brand tends to fit me very baggy. It was a nice surprise that the medium fit pretty well especially around the waist. I love the Amber color. Although, I can't confirm/deny the claims that there are fakes out there, I feel confident that my jacket is authentic. Let me explain. The "missing" embroidered logo... It does not make sense to embroider a logo on waterproof material. You'd have thousands of holes to let water in. The omni-tech logo on the sleve/wrist... It matches the same logo on the official Columbia website. My guess is that Columbia made these changes as improvements to the waterproof claims of the garment. So, If you get a jacket with an embroidered logo, I'd send that back as the NON-EMBROIDERED is the newer version... version 2.0 if you will. The bad: I dislike the velcro patches to cover the zipper. Pretty annoying when throwing it on/ taking off. COLUMBIA, just give us version 3.0 with a waterproof zipper and get rid of the velcro! I don't know how long this will remain waterproof on a hike in the rain. The good: the color, packable, semi lightweight (Medium size 377.5 grams), kinda stylish. A good budget backpackers rain shell.

great wader jacket/outer shell, like its bigger “PFG” brother
The media could not be loaded. awesome jacket. i’m 5’8”, 130 lbs, 34 chest and 30inch waist. the fit on this “small size” jacket is great. i picked this up to replace a old orange columbia pfg storm jacket. the arms are slightly bigger than the pfg which is great b/c the pfg was tighter around the arms, specially with layering. the pfg and this jacket i use mainly as a wading jacket, worn ontop of my waders for surf fishing. its so far held up great against the sand and salt and rain while fishing! it replaces an old pfg that has been tried and true for the past 4-5 years in rain and salt, but just recently been leaking this past season. for the 4-5 years i had that pfg, i didnt even know about the “packable” pocket lol! much like the pfg, all i really need is just a sweater or hoodie base layer and i can surprisingly surf fish during our 40 degree CA coastal winter climates comfortably. it dries quick and easy to pack; just dont leave it in anhot car cuz i feel that is how my pfg sprang leaks (along w it being old). anyways, this jacket is holding up great and will definitely see lotta hard use in the surf for the seasons to come highly recommend for anyone wanting a simple rain jacket or wader jacket.

Good waterproof but not breathable
Very smart jacket, very waterproof, nice lining, so close to being perfect. Unfortunately it isn't very breathable and it doesn't have pit zips so you end up getting very damp and sweaty, as a waterproof jackets job is to keep you dry I find it to be counter productive. If you were doing a low intensity stroll (around the shops or walking with young children) then it is perfectly fine. I have kept it as a backup jacket. The Columbia evaPOURation jacket is far better than the Watertight II as it is breathable and has pit zips, but it does lack the comfortable mesh lining.

Essential Windbreaker
Great jacket, chosen by and purchased for my son. It is exactly as shown/described. Vibrant blue, lightweight, mesh lining, hooded. It doesn’t have any warmth to it, but that was expected as there is no fleece lining, mesh only. Fits well, zipper seems sturdy enough. Pleased overall.

Great Waterproof Jacket
Very comfortable material & looks promising quality. Have not tested under real rain condition yet but tried it in Bathroom shower & it to runs water away well since it is new. Hope it can withstand real outdoor rain test in the future. Seem able to keep warm well too in cold air-conditioned room of 16C with just a normal short sleeve cotton shirt inside. Bought a size S, I believe it is a US size S standard but it seem more like a M so on that good take note. Even for the Size S on me I can add inside up with 3 layers of winter clothing, 1st layer Merino Wool inner wear, 2nd layer a fleece, 3rd layer a 800 down jacket then this waterproof jacket & it is still comfortable. Good buy.

Does it’s job well. Happy!
Overall an amazing jacket for the price and purpose. I knew it might be a bit small on me but was the last one on a big sale so I won’t hold sizing against it. Better without under layers for me. I have used this through a camping rich New Zealand summer and a kayak and bike rich Canadian spring, so far. It has been great for rain and wind and cold with an under layer. Defiantly cuts rain and wind well. Only issue I have is the sleeve ends are starting to fray very lightly after only a few months use and I worry this will get worse before long. Hopefully not as otherwise it’s a 5 star coat.
