Durable but be aware of downpours

Let me get this out the way, I have owned this for 6 years and it has been a blessing. Still looks like new, no tears, rips, or discoloration in any way. Keeps me warm in breezy conditions and cool enough in sunlight. HOWEVER, I had never worn this in a downpour until 2 days ago. For the first time ever, I decided to wear this while kayaking. It was a cloudy/foggy day so rain was uncertain. Not sure if it was already damp or not from condensation or mist but out of the blue, a 15 minute downpour came rolling thru. Although I was fully covered, I started feeling wet all over my torso until I was completely wet. I wasn't exactly dripping wet but my clothes were wet. Finished my ride just fine but I was not expecting that. I suppose there is a limit to how damp it can until moisture starts seeping thru. While not entirely disappointed, I was always lead to believe it would keep me dry. I still plan to wear it but I think I may now need to invest in a true 100% waterproof jacket.

Not waterproof.

Jacket keeps you warm and dry in light drizzly. Forget about it if worn in a downpour. Water will leak through the seams and get your undergarments soaked. Would help if the seams were taped. Also order 1 size bigger if your going to layer. You also need to wear a cap so the hood won’t cover your line of sight.

Great lightweight jacket, fit true to size.

I purchased this for my husband to use on our Alaskan Cruise. It was a really great lightweight jacket. It worked well with the rainy weather that we experienced in the trip. Was light weight enough to wear even when not raining. Ordered in size 2xl(his regular size) and it fit perfect.

i ordered a 2xl because i am a large woman ...

i ordered a 2xl because i am a large woman with wide hips and i wanted a jacket that would close around and cover my waist/hips. this does the trick but is maybe a little larger than i'd hoped. i might have been able to get away with the xl but it wasn't worth returning it to find out. it is definitely water proof, though, and that's what i was looking for, after buying 4-5 other rain jackets that SAID they were waterproof and weren't at all. so that alone makes it worth the purchase.

Compact Lightweight Accessory

Compact light but strong waterproof jacket. It arrived on time, but better still, arroved a day before a deluge of rain poured down the following night. It is indeed waterproof. Also even if it isn't raining, it's a good jacket to wear as a windblocker. It does trap warm air inside and keeps you nice and toasty on a fresh night.

Lightweight, durable, breathable.

This raincoat is amazing, lightweight, and breathable while at the same time being pretty durable. I wouldn’t go running through the bushes wearing it or anything like that, but for every day rainy weather you really can’t beat the value of this one.
