“Active Fit” Azure Blue / Azul / Sky Blue
Per the Columbia website. This is “Active Fit: Body skimming fit with end-use mobility in mind.” I am 5’7” 169lbs. The Medium, just fit over a long sleeve button down flannel shirt, nothing more. Love the color combination and the “Active Fit” (aka slim fit)!

Genuinely Waterproof
The jacket fits well, looks dope, and is completely waterproof so far. I can actually shake off the droplets like a dog before I go in somewhere, it's awesome- I only wish the hood was a little bigger, but I'm just nitpicking; with a hat on you won't feel a thing. This is quality stuff for a very reasonable price (depending on which colorway you go with) so I highly reccomend.

Great for light weather
I wanted a waterproof jacket that would not be too warm for the mild weather of my hometown. I was lucky to find this one on sale so I took a chance. I'm 5'10 / 250pds and it fits me great. the jacket does provide some warmth and wind resistance. I have also worn it in light and medium rain and it kept me dry. Not sure how it would perform in a torrential downpour but so far no complaints whatsoever. the pockets are roomy and have zippers which is nice. Met my expectations.

Nice Rain or Shell Layer
I bought this as a shell/wind/rain layer to cover my multiple layers for winter hiking in the Whites. I do not wear it unless there is high wind or rain in an effort to cut it and keep it off of my core. However, I do not typically hike in the rain but would do so in the snow. I am 6'1" 220 lbs with a bit of a beer belly and a scooch above average arm length. The XL fit me fine with multiple layers under it. Although with my Columbia puffer vest on, I look a bit bulky. This packs up tight and takes little space but it will be there when I need it at the Summit of the 4K mountains in NH. Being a rain/wind breaker. If all cinched up, it does not breath very well so you could be prone to sweating if you are being active in it. However, if you are just walking about your daily, I do not think this will be an issue.

Thin and runs big. Perfect for spring/summer
Pretty decent jacket for the price. Here’s the good and the bad. Pro: - it’s thin. It would be great for spring/summertime. - Pockets. It does have quite a few good pockets. - Rain material. It isnt like gore-Tex. It doesn’t reflect rain like that rubber coated material. instead it beads up and the water just goes away. It doesn’t seep through so it’s kind of hard to explain. Con: - it’s thin. I am freezing in this when it’s 50degrees out. - It runs big. I wear a medium in most coats and they normally fit perfect. I am swimming in this medium. I like my clothes to run a little big so I’m ok with this. I’m 5,10”, 165 thin build. - it’s noisy, the material is pretty loud like a loud windbreaker. All in all, I’m satisfied with it besides the thickness.

Great jacket, particularly as an outer layer over a down
I purchased to wear over a synthetic down jacket (also Columbia) and it works well. Going one size up from my down jacket (down in XS, the product being reviewed in S) is perfect and layers comfortably. Some research revealed that the Omni Tech technology used is rated at 10,000 hydrostatic head/water column - this is a good level of waterproofing and typically the minimum standard required for mandatory kit in endurance events. Descriptions online describe the jacket as having sealed seams, which I take to mean is the same as taped seams (another common standard requirement for mandatory kits). It's hard to tell as there is a net mesh lining on the inner jacket to trap heat, but running my fingers along the seam it does appear to be taped. The zip thread however aren't taped or covered so be aware of that. Packs comfortably into its own pocket to quite a small size. Overall a great jacket for both easy city use and hiking and walking. There's better options if you're doing a lot at high altitude and particularly treacherous weather conditions but you're probably already looking elsewhere if that's the case.

nice water resistant jacket
got this for family member who like columbia brand.......this is light weight nice jacket....he is 5'7 and about 11 stone so got a medium size so this can be worn lose over a tee shirt or even over a thick jumper so a medium is best if your a smallish chap....if you get a small it would be difficult to wear over a other clothes to keep you warm.....
