A decent shirt
My shirt size is medium so that is what i ordered. Like others wrote, it is over-sized, but that is perfect for its intended purpose as a fishing shirt. I bought it for hiking but it works just as well. The generous cut is great for mobility and ventilation. The fabric is a sheen 100% polyester and the stitching is ok, but I wonder just how long it will hold up on my year round hiking/camping trips in PA. It comes with a couple extra buttons sewn on the tag. The chest pockets have mesh behind them allowing your chest to breathe a little better. I would have liked mesh in the armpits, too, but this does not have that feature. It is made in Vietnam. For $25 it is a much better value than the LL Bean equivalent at $59-$89 that i looked at at their store. I say give it a shot if you are looking for a hot weather/sun protection shirt for the great outdoors.

Great Shirt-Mis-Sized
This is a great light weight product. Fabric has great feel. Because fabric is so light, putting anything into the pockets of any bulk causes shirt to fit incorrectly with the objects making the shirt feel like its being pulled.. Best with nothing in pockets. Key issues is that shirt runs about a size too big. Bought medium which fit like a large. I have other Columbia shirts all of which fit true to size. This was a surprise. Unfortunately, I took the shirt on vacation which was the first time I had put it on. Unable to return it as its no longer in new condition. Best, if you can either order two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit, or go to a store and try it on before ordering it as Amazon's price is fantastic.

Light and airy. Long sleeves are somewhat too long.
If you examine carefully all the photos of the models wearing this shirt, you will notice that generally the sleeves are somewhat too long. Click on each color, and two photos of the model wearing that color will be visible. Look at the ones with the sleeves unrolled. That being said, if I'm choosing to wear the shirt with the sleeves unrolled (as protection from the sun) I will deal with the extra length simply by using the sewn-on option of the second button to make the cuff tighter at the wrist. I'm only going to be using this shirt for outdoor recreational walks, and most of the time with sleeves rolled up and fastened with the conveniently built-in "roll-up tab and button" -- so I'm not very concerned with the length anyway. The shirt is very light and very well-ventilated. It provides protection from the sun and allows me to stay cool.

Good Sun Protection in Texas
My husband has been wearing this style and brand of shirts for several years and finds them to be very good at protecting his skin from the hot Texas sun and keeping him comfortable compared to the dark work shirts he used to wear. The fabric looks and feels very delicate but even his oldest shirt has held up to very tough use - he is not careful with them at all while he does his work on the farm including brush cutting and hauling. He also loves them on his fishing trips. The fit is good - with other shirts he had to wear large because of his large shoulders but they would be too big everywhere else. He has found in this shirt that medium fits much better and still gives him plenty of ease to move around. He prefers the beige colored shirts but they come in beautiful colors. I have a yellow one that is beautiful!

Order at least one size smaller. I'm going to get a 2nd one.
These shirts run significantly large. You will want to go down at least one size. I use it under my armored air jacket when riding on my motorcycle and was a lot more comfortable in 95 degree weather than my buddy who was riding in a t-shirt. Plenty of pockets with velcro or snaps, and the loops to hold the rolled up sleeves are nice too. Although it washes up nicely, I'm going to order a 2nd one to trade out when I'm on the road for multiple days.

40 spf in a shirt
Everyone should have one of these as things heat up for the summer. If you don't feel like putting on sunscreen and if you want to protect your forearms and chest from wrinkle and spot causing rays, slip one of these on and go. They do not breathe but it is worth the trade off. I'd rather sweat a bit and be protected than sweat off my suncreen and end up with moles and freckles. I got this one for a family member who refuses to use "goopy" sunscreen. It is a great alternative for the fair skin, stubborn type too - sooner or later they realize that those freckles are getting bigger and they are going to end up with lesions like their parents. As a gift, this gives them an opportunity to start being smart without being "goopy". Lots of great pockets too.

Sizing runs large
This shirt provides good sun protection and is light weight. However, the sizing is very large. I normally wear a medium (which I ordered), but it feels more like a large/XL. Since I “needed it” for a trip and wore it several times, I did not return it. Check the size chart before ordering.

Stay cool and protected while working HARD
BLUF: I bought this shirt as a quick drying, non-abrasive outer-layer to wear while rucking (50 lb pack runs). I have worn this shirt twice on 2+ hour rucks in weather around 85 and very humid. I can't think of a better button-up that would do the job better. The fit is somewhat loose/baggy, but I'm not exactly considering style points during such exercises. Excellent value for the price assuming it holds up. I would definitely buy this shirt again. Nice work Columbia.

I don't know
Beats other versions since it doesn't cost that much, but after buying a few and wearing them daily I have a few gripes. Like others have said it is a loose fit, make sure to buy one size down. The button layout is a little odd, it's either use all buttons and it will make you uncomfortable being a little too tight, or leave one unbuttoned but you'll have a v-neck shirt. And the biggest con for me is the material; I don't know if it's just me, but after a few washes the underarm area towards the armpits is fraying and a bunch of the stitching is wearing off making it look like a mess. Pretty good but I wish it was a bit better.

Found Medium fits too large.
Ordered a medium. I found the medium to be a very loose fit for me and the sleeves ware too long. Feel I would have been better to go down to a small in this particular shirt.
