(Almost) NO stretch on waistband

I couldn't even try them cuz I could not get them over my rather straight (!) hips. I am absolutely not what you would consider 'curvy'. Not sure how anyone can get them on... And even if you get them on the waistband is extremely tight and sown in a way that allows it to stretch only minimally and then stops. I normally wear a small in Columbia... And even their button up 'Anytime' pants are more stretchy than these. I can get a size 6 of those over my hips without opening the button.
