These feel great on, lightweight & feel bouncy!
My first thoughts upon trying these on was that I felt like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, “their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs! The wonderful thing about Tiggers is that Tiggers are wonderful things! Lol they make me feel like I could climb a mountain! The insole feels fantastic. They have ankle support that doesn’t feel like it’s even there, there’s no rubbing or chafing. As a bonus, they look great as well. They have other pros besides their cushioned "spring" that they put into your step, like their waterproofing! I give these five star straight across the board. The only caveat I have is if you want to wear VERY thick socks then you might want to size up half a size, other than that they are TTS!

These Shoes are The HI-KING Of Hiking Boots
My wife really loves these shoes. They contour to the foot very well. She ordered half a size small for what she typically gets, but this is because she prefers a snug hiking boot. So far, she has had no blisters while wearing them and found them to be extremely comfortable. The material on these boots is very well made and the treads are deep giving you good traction even in rougher terrain. They claim to be waterproof, my wife has not really tested this feature out; however, with the quality of the rest of the boot I am confident they will withstand this test (it is also not quite difficult to make waterproof boots, these days). Columbia is a brand that has survived the test of time, and these boots are no exception. My wife loves them and I am sure she will get many good years out of them.

So Comfortable I'm Wearing Them As My Everyday Tires
I put these on straight out of the box for an overnight 25 mile hike. While doubtful at first due to their lightweight feel, I am happy to report that they held up perfectly over scree, wet roots, and any other unimproved trail obstacles it encountered. I used some mid-weight socks due to colder temps and crossing some water and they fit perfectly. No break in period was needed as they conformed quickly and maintained support where it counted. They are quick to get on and off and dry out next to a camp fire very quickly. They don't hold a lot of water in the padding to weigh them down and they seem to wick well when dry. The toe box does offer a nice break point that, when combined with the textured sole, grips rocks and loose dirt well. I will definitely be replacing these in the future with the same type.
